Extended Family Blogs

My cousin MSN messaged me ask me check out her new blog, so decide to give it a try. It turn out to be something I expected from a teenager's blog, street art-based theme and fancy layouts. For some reasons I shunned my blog from designs like this, as I prefer more "professional" designs. :P

From her blog I noticed some other cousins' blog as well, which remains unknown to me until now. It's interesting and I decided to link them up here.

Yi Xuan
Cousin from Subang Jaya. Usually the family gathering would take place at her house.

Xiao Shan
Cousin staying not so far from my place. Her mum cooks delicious food. A Sammi Cheng(郑秀文) die-hard fan.

Xiao Yin
Elder cousin from Australia. Went to attend her sis(my eldest cousin)'s wedding on Jan. A cheerful lady.

Yong Long
Elder brother of Xiao Yin, still a young lad but earn some serious cash. His blog talks alot about his investment and share trades, which is not my cup of tea lol.

Dunno what's going on with my sisters' blog. I know they come to my blog once in awhile but their blog seems to be inactive for quite some time. Busy 'eh? Nevermind then....

Appaulse to new mp3 player!

A warm welcome to the latest gadget in my collections! Presenting, Creative ZEN Nano Plus!!
(info & details)

This thing cost me RM 179, 1GB capacity and the sound quality is living up to my expectation! I hesitated a bit while trying to choose which player to buy but I ended up with Creative's because it's well-known for their mp3 players, a brand comes 2nd after Apple iPods.

No matter what I'm pleased to have this new player, more songs will follow me wherever I go!

Dying MP3 Player

* Biology lecturer Ms Chong is absent, rumour spreaded that she's having MC today. There'll be 2 hours additional break for me as I'm having her lecture and tutorial class today. Now I'm writing this from college's ICT lab again. :) *

Last night I was trying to load in GSD songs I just downloaded into my MP3 player, but somehow the device appears to be in mess up condition. The screen display shows that the device needed to be reformatted. Normally this should not be a problem as usually reformatting is just plug in the device, goto "My Computer", select the device and check format settings.

Things turn out to be much complicated than I thought. Dunno why the computer somehow refuse to recognise the device, and lags my computer so badly when Im trying to check the device.

Tried this on another computer, the computer managed to recognise the device but refuse to format it. Oh well..... I'm getting frustrated.

Today if there's no GP class, or maybe I'll skip it, I want to goto Carrefour to have a look for a new player. I think it's the time to replace it, really, nowdays having an mp3 player with 128MB capacity is simply not enough! Plus that model is dated back 2002 so it's kinda obsolote nowdays.

I'm planning to get a new player with the following specs:
  • Priced around RM100-RM250
  • Capacity more than 512MB
  • Computer-charged battery or AAA battery
  • Optional card reader function
  • Optional video-playback function (this function commonly known as MP4, which is incorrect)
  • If possible I want a branded player like Creative.

I think I'm getting more desperate getting a new mp3 player.... Music is part of my life and without the mp3 player life can be miserable!

OK now I think that's all I can write for now, later 10am still have Mr Low's Chemistry lecture. Better off now seeya!

    Gundam Seed Destiny

Apologise for lack of update here again, I was hooked with yet another Japanese anime, Gundam Seed Destiny(GSD).

Last Friday my friend KY wanted to copy the GSD anime DVDs but due to technical problem he couldnt do it. He left the full 50 episodes of DVDs at my place at yea I've been watching the series from Friday til today Monday, and I must say it's another masterpiece from the Japanese anime creators!

Although some says that the storyline is a bit mess up, but I really enjoy the series after all, the effects, animations and not to mention the great musics accompanying the anime!! Real good stuff I tell u!

Anyway I better grab myself out of this anime addiction soon! Because next week would be my first test!! :S

    What to write?

Lately I havent write anything personal on this blog for quite some time. Maybe the busy college life somehow blow away my mind of blogging after all. Unlike my life in secondary school, I seem cant write anything much bout the lessons and classes in college.

And perhaps it's because European football league's seasons will only be starting again sometime in August, and til then I couldnt enjoy top-class football actions happening in Europe. I do understand that the players need some time to rest instead of playing all the year without resting.

Talk about football, last weekend's game turn out to be the muddiest game I ever played. The soil condition is terrible, the field turn out to be a muddy swamp caused by the late-night downpour. All of us covered with mud when the game ended, no one is safe from the mud strike. I've manged to scrap in 4 goals, heheh....

My enjoying moments might end soon, as the 1st test will be held on the 1st week of July! So far I think I might struggle in Pure Maths & Physics. The rest, should be no problem to get a Pass.

That's all for today. Somehow I'd prefer to blog from college's ICT lab. The keyboard is very good, suit my typing style of hitting the keys like playing piano lol. Also, IE7 looks promising to me, but I cant use it at home as I'm using "Jack Sparrow" version of Windows XP. :P

    Star Wars Special

These 2 are videos I got from the net sometime ago, featuring Star Wars series accompanied by the original soundtracks composed by John Williams. Very good music videos, you wont regret after watching it. ;)
1st video's BGM is "Duel of the Fates", and video's BGM is "Imperial March".

    The Late Lecturer

Dunno what's going on with our Physics lecturer, who seems to be missing out of sight from everyone. It's funny you know, yesterday after lunchbreak suppose to have her lecture class but she didnt turn out in the lecture hall, leaving 3 classes waiting inside there doing nothing except chatting. Earlier morning I still have her tutorial class, which she questioned me why I'm late.

Oh well..... anyway I hope today's Phyz practical is canceled too!! If this is true then I can go back as earlier as 1230pm today! Hahaha!!
I might wanted to attend lectures and tutorials, but I'm not so keen to go into the lab unless we're having experiment to do. :P

Oh btw I'm writting this from college's computer lab. Thanks to the cancelation of Phyz lecture, so got more time to "feed" computer. Heh.

    12 June 2007

    Back to TARC

Well, currently writing this from TARC ICT lab. This morning's Physics lecture class are canceled because the lecterur will be the supervisor for senior A Level's practical exams. Anyway we'll have to replace the class again maybe this week or next week.

Yesterday the journey to the college wasnt that good, because we somehow stuck in a traffic jam at Jln Genting Klang, it's just a 3.5km distance but we took bout 30 mins to reach there. Was late 15 mins for the Chem lecture. Luckily Mr Low, just give briefings for us and only teach the final few minutes.

Bio and Physics lecturer is still the same Ms Chong and Ms Ong. Glad to have Ms Chong teaching, but too bad couldnt "get rid" of Ms Ong after all. :\

During lunchbreak, the canteen 2 is expected to ba crowded, so called "human jam". It's a nightmare....

Maths tutorials, then again the lecturers still remain the same, with Mr Yap teaching Applied Maths and Ms Ngow teaching Pure Maths. Oh well, really have to work hard to catch up with Maths now, starting to get the feeling that if I dont start working now I might get lost in the middle of nowhere.

GP lessons, to my surprise the lecturer, Mdm Kalaimathi reminds me of my Bio teacher back in secondary school, Mdm Premmah. They not only look alike, but the way they teach are almost the same too. Hah, I wonder are they siblings or relatives? LOL....

I'm glad that most of my classes ended at 3pm. Can go back a little earlier, but have to sacrifice sleeping time as everyday my class starts sharp at 8am.

Today on the way to the college is still JAMMING all along Jln Genting Klang, and the jam slowly builds up at MRR2. We opt for the alternative Tmn Melati route and somehow it's still manage to get to the college. According to Yee Kai, he said mass amount of diploma students studying here somehow affected the traffic, as their numbers are few times more than PreU students. Oh well, I dunno how bad the traffic will continues. I'm planning to drive to college when I got my driving license and this kind of situation isnt that good for a newbie to drive, hahah. Well I guess it's a kind of training isnt it? To be able to drive in KL, you've to get use to stuck in the middle of traffic jam, hah.

That's all for now, I should be continue writing this using my own computer then. I like this ICT lab's keyboard lol.

    11 June 2007

    New BGM

Yep, finally I've found the track that could replace "Nightingale"finally lol.

This piece, "He's A Pirate!" is composed by Hans Zimmer for the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Hope you can enjoy this great piece, although I understand different people got different taste in music right? Well I really like this type of orchestral songtracks. :)

    A little nervous?

Suppose to be looking forward tomorrow going back to college, but somehow there's some disturbing thoughts playing in my mind from time to time, making me felt uneasy and nervous, yeah.

Perhaps it's because the pressure of A Level? As I can observe myself now, compare to other diploma students, we PreU students have to study more and really there's not much time left for leisure. I can compare this by looking their time-tables. Diploma students have loose time-tables and in between they've long hour breaks. Whereas us PreU students, weekdays we literally start our lessons at 8am and ends sometime around 3pm. We only got 1 hour break though. By comparing this we can see that PreU students' studies is more hectic compare to diplomas.

I think I should be fine when things are getting settled down. As what I've experienced before, things turn out to be not as complicated as I thought eventually, well I hope this prediction will be correct til the end then. I couldnt withstand a sudden shock or surprise for studies though.

Just an expression of feelings on the net, I guess this is a good stress-reliever solution for myself.

Anyway here's 2 vids I'd like to post, someone's playing "He's A Pirate", theme of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Just discovered this piece was composed by Hans Zimmer, another renowned soundtrack composer. You can compare the music played by different instrument, an upright piano and an electronic piano. Both are good, so enjoy then.

    Cher - "Believe"

I still remember this song is a hit around the globe in 1998, I'm 9 at that time. A great song and it reminds me of those memories I'd back in primary school. I really like this song and now sharing it's music video then.

    Going back to TARC soon

Yesterday went to college to copy my new time table. Crap, dunno why this time the office wouldnt print out the time-table for us like what they during our first week. It's unusual to go back to college there just to copy time-table, and to make matter worse they didnt make full use of the college network, they should've post it up there so students can check it easily online.

Nevermind now, at least I'm quite happy with the new time-table. Now my class starts from 8am and ends on 3pm from Monday to Wednesday. Thurs slight extended lessons until 3.30pm, but I've no complains for that day because having 2 practicals in 1 day. Friday, lesson is up til 12.30pm only, means I can enjoy my weekend earlier! Yeah!

Anyway, the college now is different than it was before my holiday. Now when I go back I'm quite certain it'll be human jams inside the campus itself. Diploma students themselves had already occupied the whole canteen 2 area, and what if PreU students came back from their holiday? I hardly can imagine how it'll looks like during lunchtimes....

According to the lecturers before our holiday, now we'll start the real tough lessons, as feared by seniors, LOL. No matter what, I will try my best to do well in the studies, and hopefully less negative influence from friends around me. :)

    Self-reflecting Quizes

    Your Brain is Blue

Of all the brain types, yours is the most mellow.
You tend to be in a meditative state most of the time. You don't try to think away your troubles.
Your thoughts are realistic, fresh, and honest. You truly see things as how they are.

You tend to spend a lot of time thinking about your friends, your surroundings, and your life.

(Hey one of my fav colour is blue!)

    Your Intrapersonal Intelligence Score: 77%

You know what path you're on. And you are excited about your future.
You're always deepening your inner knowledge and introspection. And enjoying it every step of the way.

(Yea sometimes I do think that I'm smarter than those around me, heh.)

    Maksim + Final Fantasy VIII

Here's the result combining 2 elements that I really like, Maksim's "Croatian Rhapsody" and SquareEnix's "Final Fantasy VIII". The video editor did a great job on this, I must say. I'm really impressed and here's the vid.

    Enter, DVD Burner

After the frustrating 2.5 hours trying to feed the old Combo Drive with CD, I've finally give up. I set my target on the replacement, an external CD-rom then.

My ideal external drive is a combodrive(CDRW + DVD), but in the end I bought this.... Imation DVD+-R DL External Burner.

Cost RM 270, have to thanks my father for paying it! :D
First look, this external player looks rather bulkier than I expected. It's length is almost two times an internal CD-rom would look like, and it's a little heavier than I expected too. Anyhow it's still can be considered as flexible, for it's mobility.
I choose external is because if I eventually will change a com I still can use it as a secondary drive.

So far I'm impressed and satisfied by the performance, hope it can last long though. Yay for me for able to burn DVDs from now on!! Heh. :)

What's happening in this blog lately

Readers might found out that lately I've been posting a lot of stuffs related to football. Yeah, so many pics of boots or so, football fever struck again on me, hahah.

Last week for me to enjoy the holiday.... for the next 2 months I'll be dreaded by college studies. Yeah I'm looking forward for the college challenge! Btw the next holiday would take place sometime around mid August, 1 week before 50th National Day.

My com's old Samsung ComboDrive is playing a serious joke with me now. It's getting old and it doesnt follow my command as it use to be. Now when I want to place a CD in, the drive would just eject out the CD over and over again. I've tried possible thousand times to get the CD running but for heaven's sake it keep spill out the CD. I've acknowledge this problem for quite some time, it's a test of patience I guess, but this time It's over the limits. I've been trying to get the CD in for 2 and a half hours. So far the drive still would "eat in" the CD, duh!

Planning to get a replacement soon, possible another ComboDrive, external though(USB connectivity). Expected to burn around RM200~400, depending the model and brand. I just want a simple one to replace the current faulty old drive.....

    Wanted boots

It's been 3 years I've stick with my Adidas DX-1 turf boots. The sole is worn out, indicating it's about time I change the boot. It's still OK to wear but every step is getting more slippery than before.

I've surveyed some TF boots currently available, so far I prefer Adidas' boots, as usual. Those nice Nike boots are taken off the shelf now, leaving me much less choices to choose.

Here's the boots that I'm considering getting next.

Gimme one of these now and I'm a happy guy. :P

    Future Adidas boots

Just got few previews of the next gen Adidas boots that will be launched next year in conjunction EURO 2008.

New gen +F50 TUNiT. Dunno what's the official name though, maybe +F50.8? I like the transparent design near the heel, stylish!

New gen Predator series. Rumour says this might be named Predator Power? Sounds dull...

P/S: New colourways for current Predator Absolute series. It wont be too long before new series of Predator boots will take over.

So called blue/white/silver colourway boot. But the colour in the pic shows purple instead of blue though, and very minimal sign of silver. I'll wait for the real boots to show up then.

Beckham's new boots, again. This should be the England edition which Adidas hold it's release few months ago.

Maksim's latest MV from the 4th album Electrik. "Child in Paradise", one of my favourite track from that album. Enjoy then.

    Occupied Holidays

Apologise for lack of updates on my blogs. Yea, not just this blog I've neglected, but the other too, which I've received complaints lack of updates.

All right to make things clear, it's been quite a busy week for me you see. It's holiday break for me but I'm up to something almost everyday.

Let's see.... I've spend few days playing football, greatest game ever! Went to KLCC twice, browsing for books and goods, as well as enjoy a 'luxurious' meal with my mate KY, with a feast at Nandos.

I'm slowly catching up to get my driving license, hopefully I can take it sometime in July, I suppose. Tomorrow gonna goto the 2nd briefing, which is boring and time-wasting, well according to friends' account. Now I just wanna hop into the car, ignite the engine and ready to drive. I can do that if I want but because it's illegal so I better stay out of trouble. Driving a car look much easier than other things, though.
By the way I think I havent write it here, that last week passed my on-the-road-law test, which I scored 2 pts above the passing mark. No matter what I've passed, nothing to shout about as it's relatively easy.

I had 1 more week to enjoy this holiday, because I'll have to wait until August then only I'll have another week of holiday then. The real college life challenge will begin that time, now is still can be considered as 'honey-moon period', told by the lecturers.

Anyway, recently I'm hooked up by the 6th book of Harry Potter series, The Half-Blood Prince. I only realised I got this book bought by my sis sometime ago and yea I'm almost done reading it within 3 days time. I couldnt wait for the 7th and the last book!! The Deadly Hallows....
