Trying to get to the university

It was a fine day today and I couldn't resist to go out to explore the new place more. My initial plan of going to the FGS Temple was shelfed as today there isn't any particular activity, but might be going there tomorrow though.

To play safe this time, I brought a compass along (LOL) to avoid me being lost again hahah. But basically I'm just travelling between North and South.

Noticed the houses around the area looks like vacation house to me.

The journey took around 20 mins, with mostly uphill ride. Actually the route is pretty simple, far easier to get to the Kawagoe campus!

University buses. Free ride from the closest Kamifukuoka (上福岡) train station to the university campus.

This is where I'll be studying at. Shobi University, Kamifukuoka campus 尚美学園大学上福岡キャンパス.

The plaza~

Absolutely love the transparent ceiling which you can see the blue skies above~

Seems like the initial schedule for early April is out. Quite a few guidances to follow up huh.
IMG_1039

University canteen.
IMG_1049

Huge grassfield just behind the university campus.
IMG_1045_stitch

Headed to the Media Centre where the library is housed at.
IMG_1052

Randomly pick up a book to read. Talks about the town of Edo's (Tokyo's old name) history.
IMG_1051

Another look at the centre square.
IMG_1053

There's this short forest trail just beside the university campus, which leads to grassfield and residences.
IMG_1059

After finish dwelling around the university, explore around the area which I landed myself at a huge mall.
IMG_1064

Bought this cabinet, and it'll be send over by tomorrow morning. Need it to act as closet to orderly store clothings.
IMG_1063

I'd like to remind you that these cloths aren't meant for human child, heh.
IMG_1065

Do you know the reason why I took this pic? ^^
IMG_1067

Super Viva Home, the name of the mall.
IMG_1068

There're sections specifically cater for agriculture sectors, many stuffs which I saw it for the first time ever.
IMG_1073

Some rice cleaner/sorter thingy, not quite sure how it works or it's purpose, but normally this type of machines can be found near farmlands.
IMG_1072

Should've taken a panoramic pic here to show how big the mall is.
IMG_1077

Evening snack, taiyaki!
IMG_1074

Ordered a custard and cheese taiyaki. Oishikatta!
IMG_1075

Honda's Technical College of Kanto region.
IMG_1078

These following pics are taken on the way back from the university to the hostel. Spotted quite a lot of restaurants and shops on the way, which is good as I'm planning to find part-time job soon.
The earlier the pics means it's closer to the university, while the latter pics will be closer to the hostel.

Yakiniku buffet. Sounds tempting but not sure the price though.
IMG_1079

Another yakiniku restaurant.
IMG_1081

Off topic: the new Honda CR-Z!
IMG_1082
IMG_1080

Summit supermarket. Near my previous place in Tokyo there're a few of these supermarkets too.
IMG_1083

Shidax, so called entertainment karaoke + restaurant club.
IMG_1084

Here's a sushi restaurant. Might be coming here and try it out one day.
IMG_1085

A restaurant specialise in Shabu-shabu & Sukiyaki, both are hotpot dishes.
IMG_1086

Off topic: cabbage flowers meant for decoration and not for the stomach!
IMG_1087

Shimamura, a fashion centre.
IMG_1088

Jonathan's, one of the popular western family restaurants around.
IMG_1089

This western-cuisine restaurant looks delicious, and thinking of working here as well.
IMG_1090

Katsuya, a restaurant specialise in tonkatsu (豚カツ) and I ate there before last year. But personally I don't really like fried pork. :3
IMG_1091

This Hiday restaurant is much bigger than it's Tokyo counterpart.
IMG_1092

Reached hostel safe and sound~ Good thing I didn't get lost this time lol. Anyway I don't really feel safe cycling here as the roads are narrow and reckless drivers.

Here are a few stuffs which I've bought during the past few days.

First CD purchase, "Kaze no Toori Michi" Ghibli Collection featuring tracks composed by Joe Hisaishi. Got this yesterday at Omiya. Cost 1.8k yen.
IMG_1030

「ブッダの教え一日一話」(Buddha's teaching, a lesson everyday) written by a Sri Lankan monk based in Japan, Rev. Alubomulle Sumanasara. Cost 1,2k yen.
Besides learning some knowledge, also wanted to get used to reading Japanese books.
IMG_1029

A pseudo-carabiner to hook keys on my belt. Don't wanna stuff too many things into my pocket.
IMG_1093

A pencil case.
IMG_1095

Emergency food rations, just in case.... (I really hope I don't need to eat these one day though.)
IMG_1094

That's all for today~
