Back in Malaysia (Part IV finale)

OK I guess this would be the final episode of the "Back in Malaysia" series, which features bits of my life back in KL~ Or so it seems, that it's been more than 2 weeks since I left there lol.

#8 Bukit Bintang

I had some stuffs to get around Low Yat Plaza so decided to visit the Golden Triangle.

Some may have forgotten this as another symbol of Kuala Lumpur, the KL Tower hah.

Tourist booth without someone manning it, sigh....

Friends in Japan would agree that KFC in Malaysia tasted many times better than it's Japanese incarnation....

Landmarks at Jalan Sultan Ismail.

Monorail, Bukit Bintang station. Instead of taking the monorail I've decided to walk all the way from Bukit Nenas station.

An alien brand (to most Malaysians) spotted in KL. Uniqlo's coming to Malaysia real soon!

The glorious Pavilion! (very different than the Shanghai EXPO's)

#9 Party at home

Before I went back to KL I actually thought of having a party at home, gathering with friends. Since it's abit inconvenient for me to go out that often so why not invite them over? ^^

Foods!

I had fun and enjoyed that evening with friends. Many thanks to my parents who agreed to have the small party and sponsor the meal. :)

#10 Mid Valley, The Gardens

Now that Mid Valley is slightly closer to me and finally managed to check out The Gardens mall. Yep, although I live in KL for so many years but there are still malls that I haven't been before. For instance, I haven't been to IKANO and 1U. :S

In KL this is the most efficient train system, the LRT Kelana Jaya line (formerly known as Putra line).

Nice chill-out spot with great view above The Gardens mall.

Was surprised to see sushi sets like these are selling at Mid Valley's Jusco! Price-wise not much difference even converted to JPY.

Meeting with some friends at Delicious, Mid Valley. Haw Jiun, Chia May & Toh Wai.

#11 Klang

Few days before going to the airport, visited a place where I won't usually come hah. Somehow 16th Sept is a public holiday (Malaysia Day) so it's a great pleasure to "run" on the Federal Highway with lesser obstacles. Reached Klang around 30 mins time heh!

There are 2 main food attractions in Klang. One's the bak kut teh and the other being the seafood. This time I'm having BKT for breakfast.

Yummy!! But I'd prefer the "fatty" portion of pork. :P

2nd round, some vege dumpling to counter the heavy-loaded meat dish we had earlier.

We were brought to this temple worth more than 100 years. Am glad that the temple is well-maintained.

Noticed that the fine weather helps greatly to bring out the colours well.

There's this so-called royal park/garden open for public near Istana Alam Shah.
IMG_6538

A fine example of plants evolution. I wonder what makes the plant to came out with such thorny defensive mechanism eh.

Cathedral spotted.

Istana Alam Shah, heard some royal functions are carried out here.

Klang's lamppost.

Shortly 2 days after the Klang visit, I'm off and coming back to Japan to continue studies.

A month's holiday back in KL was great, definitely. Had enjoyed every moment of it and really look forward going back again next year! :D

  1. I'm wondering, for all the pictures you took on your outings, didn't you get any weird stares from the public, as you took out your camera and snapped those photos, say in the LRT for instance :P
