I've found afew websites to host photos on the net, here is it....

Flickr
Sony ImageStayion
All of them are free, but it comes with paying options too, which features more functions.
In my opinion, Flickr and Webshots are the best, but it might be abit difficult for starters. I suggest starters dwnld the Webshots and Flickr Uploader client, then it'll be easier to manage the photos.
