I think that this blog might look a little dull due to it's white background, so decided to throw in a music clip from my favourite song, "Nightingale" by Yanni.

Meanwhile, I'm battered and bruised by the exam, although so far everything isnt going pretty rough on me, but I have to crack my head off sometimes, I'm really tired.

I'll probably write up something tomorrow, after finishing the DAMNed Moral paper. :)

Calculating Adsense

Checked my Google Adsense. Hmm.... few days to go before the end of Nov. I noticed that this month my revenue is a little disappointing. Previous months I manage to beg in roughly USD10 per month, but this month it's less than USD10, not many days to go.

So.... I need USD1 more to gain USD70 overall earnings from Adsense. Well I'm interested to know when I can get my 1st paycheck, so I estimate the time I needed to wait til I can get bank in the cheque:

Assume that next month(Dec) maximumly I can earn til USD78, and then next Jan I somehow can earn USD10 more, make it USD88(发发) overall. Feb, CNY period, hopefully can hook more money, and I estimate I can reach my first USD100 mark by end of Feb. Right, so Google will be processing and sending out the money to me sometime in March, and I'll receive it around late March - mid April.

Well then, now I've a problem. My NS is 2nd batch, which is mid March til mid June. I'm almost certain that I wont be able to touch the cheque if my parents help me bank in the money. What I worried the most is, will I be able to cash in the money I've earn? Because once the cheque is sent, Adsense will reset my earning counter back to zero, I've to earn the money all over again.

Hey hey, USD100 isnt a small figure in MYR, roughly RM364... after I've work so hard about 9 months. It'll be a big loss for me IF the money didnt go into my pocket. :(

Right now I'm trying to write some more things bout some serious business instead of my exam experience, hope to boost up my Nov's Adsense earning. This is also the reason why I wrote the Shopping List post previously, more keywords to attract money rolls into my direction. :)

After SPM, I've almost 3.5 months long break. I've been thinking getting some new gears for myself after all these years. I dont think I'm a money spender type of person, because I only buy things when I need it and I seldom ask money from parents to buy those stuff I want.

SPM 3 - Numb

English for Science & Technology, or whatever it is. This suppose to be an easy paper like everyone expected. For me, it's easy and hard, dunno which description I should label this subject. Last year many people didnt get A for this subject because:
1) it's hard.
2) standard rises due too many people do well in this paper.
For this year, I've no idea.

Friday just after the EST paper, headed to Carrefour buy Maksim's 4th album, Electrik. Great, saved money because the previous 3 albums cost RM40~45 each, this time I can get it for just RM28, consider a good bargain. Anyway, I do felt that the album is being 贱卖(dunno how to describe in Eng, maybe sell too cheap alrdy?)

National Service updates

Father informed me few moments ago, I've been selected into the 2nd batch NS for year 2007. Location is still remain unknown. Tomorrow's major newspapers will came out with the full list of participants.

Oh crap, 18th of March ~ 9th of June, uhuh....

UPDATE 1: It seems many friends are on the 2nd batch, I hope I wont be alone over there. 'til now only the 1st batch's dispatch location is given, 2nd batch have to wait til Feb 07.

For now, I see most friends from 1st batch is going to either Pahang, Sarawak or Sabah. One special that is Val's going to Terengganu, for now I dunno where's anyone else going.

SPM 2 - Drunken Night

^ The title is just a made up name, I'm not drunk!!


So far this week "attended" 3 days of non-stop "parties". It's tiring and easily making me hungry. The food they "serve" during the "party" is really bad, I couldnt bear seeing that kind of food, or is it a food?

Please ignore the paragraph above if you didnt get what I mean. Writing something like that more or less can ease off a little exam stress.

Monday had Bahasa Melayu papers. This is the last and the hardest BM paper I ever had, since primary school's exams!! I've to admit that I somehow relied on the tips the last BM seminar teacher gave us(didnt write bout him, drafted that post but havent published). Damn, none of the BM literature came out. But I didnt felt too bad bout it, because the other tuition centers didnt score for BM as well, including the scammer Andrew C which I hated so much!
Too bad for those who actually paid RM60 above to get the useless tips, wasted the money, it'll be better if you bring that money to me to keep on rockin' the party!

History papers, I didnt really bother much to do revisions. I cant understand so many stories and facts in the matter of few minutes time! Most of the time I answer the paper with my logical thinking and common sense. So happy when it comes out essay about World War II history, because I know it's background while doing research on that topic on Wpedia. Doing extra readings on Wpedia really works!

English papers, not as tough as BM but more tricky than Chinese. One thing I'd like to mention bout this paper is the essay part. Of 5 titles available, I chose to write about "Food".
One of the reason is that I'm a big fan of any great food available out there, though I didnt write much bout it in my blog because I'm not good in writing foodblogs, unlike other bloggers like Aunt Lilian or KYspeaks, their blogs inspires me to write this essay.
However, I still think that the essay I wrote for my trial(read here) is much better than the one I wrote in the real SPM paper. I wish they could switch the titles, because I've many things to write bout "Peace" rather than "Food". Still, should be able to get well marks for the overall papers.

Mathematics, today's big cheese. Paper 1, I think I can score more than 30 questions out of total 40 questions, well hopefully. Paper 2, should my calculations and workings are all correct, I could beg in above 80 for the paper. Yes, hopefully I do snatch away another A too. :D

I've been telling them that I've my own plan to do from 11 Dec ~15 Dec that range, I'm occupied with my own plans. But they still try to persuade me follow them for a China tour starting from 15 Dec for 9 days, arghh.... Conflict!!
Of course, I dont want my parents guess what I'm up to, because I havent really confirm whether the plan will be working or not.

My class trip is planned around 12 Dec~13 Dec, I know it's not clashing with my parent's plan, but then I need my own time do my own things, isnt it? S2's going around 14 Dec btw, so I've also have to consider the schedule too.

And, I dislike my parents touch the topic bout "another gender" issue, I'm ok with them for most of the issues except for this. I dont want they know what's going on with me regarding this issue. I just felt uneasy when they talk bout this.

Why I want to write this? Is because parents are asking me bout the trip and I couldnt answer them clearly, I just tell them havent confirm the whole plan, cant talk bout it so soon yet. Plus, right now I'm preparing for my tomorrow's paper, BM & History.

Right, I guess that's the end of my rants.

When planning goes wrong....

It's 2am in the morning, I should've be sleeping by now, but I still have to write something things happened lately. I've been planning the class trip recently, discussing with some classmates together.

Our destination is Melaka's Afamosa resort. But not everyone from the class are going together. Janice and her gang are planning to go there by themselves with their own plan, but at a point they decided to join the entire class gang because Ricky's fake promise of a wonderful accommodation, ball and so on. I'm glad that more people in the class are going with us.

But then, we hardly can make a decision together. Saturday night, I discussed this issue with Vinc, Janice & Miki. Janice and Miki are their group's representatives while me and Vinc represent the other classmates.

Upon discussing the whole plan, Miki has her own plan, she's trying to ask us follow her plan, as I know that her "bf" can help us arrange the plan. I of course reject the plan, because this trip doesnt really bother her bf, why he must involve?

In the end we came up with 2 plans.

Old plan, Afamosa 2D1N, RM 160+.

Melaka tour, 3D2N, price unconfirmed.

Because these 2 choices, I've been temporarily blur at times. This make Vinc unhappy and threaten to halt the planning and call it off the trip. He's frustrated that none of us finally make a decision to settle with the other classmates.

What I'm thinking is that, we've choices, so we ask everyone's opinion, which is better? Of course, I've to keep in mind that right now is the exam season, a major exam, some people wouldnt really bother bout other things than doing last minute revision or so. It is not as easy as I think to get everyone's attention in the class.

Vinc have his own reason to backup his frustration. I've gotta thank him for some advises he gave me, if not I guess I'll still be blur now. Really, planning a trip isnt as easy as we think. Another lesson for me.

So in the end, Janice's group says that they want be seperated again from the whole class again. Their group represents 1/4 of the class, while I couldnt confirm that the other 3/4 classmates will join us for the trip, so it's kinda complicated to make a decision.

I've to make phone call to the Afamosa's staff to confirm the prices and get info. You know, although my communication skills have improved alot since my primary years, but then I'll still face a little prob while talking on the phone, especially bout important issues. I've tried to overcome the weakness everytime I call the staff. A little struggle within myself.

Right, so we decided to ask teachers come along with us. Ms Lim, last year's form teacher isnt free on that period, oh well. Ms Nee, Phyz still havent decide whether she want to join or not. Monday I'll try ask Ms Siah, current form teacher. Vinc also suggested we ask Ms Santhi, our Eng teacher last year, to join us too. I'll only bother to ask Ms Siah, let the others settle contact other teachers.

No matter what's the outcome, it's best to confirm everything within next week. The number of people going, the expenses, the transports, the food, etc!!

Although for me this time the exam season is not as exciting as the previous exam, but then I still need some of my time to do revision to.....

I rarely encounter things that can upset me greatly, I've been very patience to deal with unhappy classmates during the discussion. Sigh.... one of the reason I dont really felt for my class is because everyone is too lazy to bother things, we're not united enough like the other classes.
Our class can outdo many classes out there IF we felt like being a part of a big family, do things all together, like S2....

Some maybe will label me as a traitor or so, but if all the planning goes from bad to the worst, then I might jump over the boat and head to S2. I've asked them to reserve a place for me IF there's anything wrong with my class trip. I rather follow them because they've the unity my class doesnt have, and I felt much playful with them than in my own class.
And yes, I've an agenda too.... S2s should know what's happening then.

English tips 1

The letter I always comes before the letter E, only if there is the letter C, then E comes first, followed by I

As you can see, sometimes I misspell words while writing this blog. I always confuse myself with the example above, one of my weakness in English....

You know, in real exam there's no spelling checker like we've on the Net, so this kind of errors will cost valuable marks. Thankfully got this tips before nxt week's Eng paper.... Heheh.

SPM 1 - First Blood

Chinese paper I had, in fact everyone in the school have to take this subject, a mandatory subject in the school.

I'm more concern for this paper than the other 2 languages subject, BM and Eng. One of the reason is that the marking standard for Chinese paper is much higher than the other 2 papers. Because this paper is taken mostly by chinese, so we want to maintain the standard of the paper. I heard to get 1A, the minimum marks will be 90, and 2A minimum 80 marks. Kinda higher than the other papers.

Chinese paper I
2 essays, I wrote 1 formal letter and 1 factual article.

The letter is about a complaint to local police department, regarding the social problems happening in the residential area. Nowdays there's lots of this kind of news in newspaper, I guess not so hard to write bout it.

2nd essay, I choose the title "爱书的孩子不会变坏", translated means " kid that loves book wouldnt turn bad". I choose this title because myself is a best example to describe a person in the article. I'm living in a family that loves to read, so I guess I've advantages to write this article.

I finish the paper right on the moment the examiner ask us to put down the pen. How many words? No time count, dont bother bout it. It's a relief to finish a paper, because more to come soon!!

There's break between the 1st and 2nd paper. 10am to 1.30pm, 3 hours++ to spend. I ended up go "study" in a friend's house. To be honest, I go there to play his PS2, trying out games like NFS Underground 2 & Grand Turismo 4. A little disappointed with the performance, maybe is the problem of the game DVD or the game machine is aging?

Had lunch at the same old mamak stall(shop to be exact). Usual menu, Maggi goreng tambah ayam, yummy!!

2nd paper is much scarier than the 1st paper because this 40 questions paper is full of traps to trick students.

Chinese paper II
I laughed, when I saw the question for the chinese proverb.
"醉翁之意不在酒，在乎山水之间也"
I learnt this proverb back in F1 and F4, can consider as one of the easiest proverb of all I've learnt.

Overall, this paper is consider not so hard, a little easy, if compare to it's trial exam counterpart. If the marking scheme didnt state minus mark for any extra answers, then I think I can get at least 3B....

Back home, my mother pointed out some of my errors. In the essay I wrote见人见智, but it suppose to be 见仁见智.... oh well. 闪烁, the 2nd letter is sounded as shuo, not li, another mistake.
So far 2 mistakes, I guess doesnt affect too much on my end result then. :D

Next Monday, BM & History. I'll read something bout History soon.... Party starts....

P/S: Hope my friend Kian Meng get well soon from his throat infection. He smsed me, says that he's taking his exam in a VIP suite in hospital, how great is that!! Of course, being sick during major exam sucks, really....

Belated blog annisersary

I didnt notice this until I posted a comment in another friend's blog. Well, this blog is started since the 7th of November 2004.

Something's wrong with my 1st anniversary post I wrote last year. It's weird, I didnt touch anything with the settings, and it's gone. Nevermind bout that, last year Nov wasnt a good time for me. Let's forget about it.

So, I start blogging after Form3's PMR exam. Back then, my life is just the computer, the Internet. I still remember exactly how I involve in blogging.

It starts with Google. I searched for the keyword "Chong Hwa", my school. Stumble on a senior's blog, writing every single details of his life in the secondary school. Because I'm too bored, I browse through every single post in his blog, and learnt lots of things til now.

I think I've established myself as an pundit blogger, a more matured blogger than fellow peers. I've learnt alot through blogging, both in reality and the Net world. I kinda like the feeling of becoming popular in the reality and on the Net, thanks to my blog.

One of the important aspect in blog is the design and layout. I've changed once from the original Blogger template available. Info bout my ex and current template is available here.

I really, really learnt alot through blogging. Have to repeat this because I felt that my life will be totally different if I didnt start this blog. Perhaps, I've alrdy become another victim of gaming addiction? The Net is such a wonderful world you can do almost anything. I like to learn new stuff on the Net, and then apply it in my daily life. That's good for me.

Let it be a week late, but still this blog is now 2 years old. Heh, I wonder how long I can keep this blog up? Hopefully can keep it forever as long as the Net stays online. ;)

Pre Spm

Tomorrow our school's SPM starts, but I'm not going to school yet.

Tomorrow some friends from S1 will be taking Reka Cipta paper.

My paper will start on Wednesday, Chinese paper. I think the timetable is stupid you see... 1st paper start at 8am ends on 9.45am. But the 2nd paper starts on 2pm and ends on 4.15pm. Hey, we dont need sooooo long break ok? Duh!! I dunno what to do from 10am to 1.30pm.... revision? No mood....

The paper after Chinese, BM. When? 20th Nov, next Monday. Silly schedule, but I also have to revise History too, because it's "sandwiched" between BM and Eng paper. Hmm.... :\

Class trip planning

We've to do this before the exam starts, if not we dont have the mood to do so during the exams.

My class, S3, sadly to say, most of the time is not cooperate enough, we hardly can make decisions within a short period of time. We have to go through every small groups ask for their suggestions and comments, then only can make a final decision, which is disappointing most of the time.

Now this time we're planning our final trip together. There's been suggestions for places that we might consider to go. The suggestions are:
Genting Highlands


A'famosa Resort


Bukit Merah Laketown Resort


Basically I prefer the later two, because I know Genting will be crowded, and it's just about 45 mins away from our home, consider quite near. The other two, located at further part of Malaysia. Afamosa resort is near Melaka & Negri Sembilan, while Bkt Merah is near Taiping, in Perak.

Last year I missed the trip to Afamosa, so I guess I can compensate myself this time. On the other hand, the next class, S2 is planning to goto Bkt Merah resort. They've almost completed their planning, just final confirmation and they're set to go there to enjoy.

We've planned to go there with them, so we can reduce the transport cost(they hire a bus). Overall budget is around RM 200, according to S2's planner.

As for my class, we either choose to go Afamosa ourselves, or go Bkt Merah with S2. Some classmates doesnt fell comfortable to go with S2 is because they say this is class trip, suppose to be with our own classmates only, not with other people. I think there's not much problems with both class go together, since we basically know everyone(for my class, but not for other passive classmates). It'll be more fun if we've more people, right?

We only make our enquiries these few days. I guess someone have to sacrifice abit to do all the contacts and gather infos, gotta thank Toh Wai for helping me out to gather infos.

IF.... my class' school trip cannot be worked out, then I might be a somebody that will join S2's trip there, if things gone from good to bad. Some say I maybe have some agenda there, but what I think is to relax and enjoy with friends. I can get along easily with friends in S2 as well as my S3 classmates, I can make my own choices.

A'famosa might be nice, but if really want to relax, I'd prefer Bkt Merah, a closer approach to the nature, compare to A'famosa's urban theme park & all the activities going on. Youngsters might want to have some exciting games out there to enjoy, but I guess spend a quiet time in a lake resort arent that bad either. Perhaps my thinking is getting older huh?

The budget on A'famosa will rely on the reply I get from A'famosa's representatives. I'd prefer to go for the cheaper ones, the trip to Bkt Merah looks promising to me. I still have to remember that I'm making decision for the whole class, not just only for myself, only if things couldnt work out.

Last day in school

For me, today is the official last day of my school life.

This might be the last time I went to school as a student, turning out in the classroom prepare to wait teacher to teach.

Nowdays teachers no longer teach us, just let us have our free time do our own stuff, mainly revision.

Today, I went to school for 3 businesses. First, get the school magazine. Second and third, settle my certificates and result verification. I only have to wait for the 1st business to come over me, but the 3rd business is giving me a tough time today.

I have to run errands for myself and the class to get teachers verify our result papers, a document that is required to enroll in local college. A teacher, 3A is not willing to do the paperwork fast enough, have to wait her bout 2 hours to complete the 30 papers work, which other teachers can finish it within 15 mins. But I'm glad that I manage to hand in all the certs and results in time, if not I can only settle it next week during the exam.

I want to talk something about the school magazine I received today. Please have a look at the cover....



The new school magz is on the left, while last year's on the right. My first impression for the new magz is, what the crap?!? The color looks so dull and outdated, plus the cover art is too plain!!
Compare to last year, ChinWei or YongFei's work(cant remember which one from them made the cover), a brilliant masterpiece. This year's cover looks like a simple photoshop edit, plus few minor make up.

Well they say dont judge the book from it's cover, let's browse through the contents. Overall, the school magz is still following previous magz' format, the only difference is the "touch" in the design & content arrangement.

One of the most important content in the magz is the coverage of the activities the school have done in this year. If I compare the section with last year's section, the main difference is with the layout, this year's design is not so good, really.

Why I'm complaining so much? It's because I happened to in charge of this part last year, along with with the other 2 friends mentioned above. Our apprentice, Chee Liang, apparently rely on teacher's idea too much, so couldnt work out his own creativity to create a better design. Oh well, now I grumble also no use, the book is out, this is the end product.

I guess the school also acknowledge this problem, so starting from next year they'll run a competition for the school magz cover design competition. Whoever in the school can participate in this competition, to choose out the best design for next year's school magz cover.

Sheez, do I sound like the old Tun Mahathir who talks something bad bout his apprentice? Hahah, maybe I've also somehow influenced by his recent actions, so makes me have so many things to say bout my juniors. I'm getting older alrdy....

By the way, exam starts next Wed, I can see some friends dont have mood to study, but prefer to hang around with friends. No sign of panic or nervous, I'm one of them too, heheh....

Note that not everyone participated in the game. They usually only take on "regular victims"to do the stunt. Only 1 casualty is reported so far....

School SPM Seminar

This happened ystrdy, but I only blog it today because I'm addicted....

It's unusual that the school teachers themselves are the lecturer for the SPM seminar the school held. The topics discussed are BM, Eng & History. The speakers? Mr Mohd Sukri in Eng, Pn Haniza in BM, and Ms Chong NC on History.

Nothing to shout about this seminar, but I still appreciate the school still trying to help us to face the exam at this eleventh hour. :)
Ms Chong's self-made History notes are useful, lots of useful tips & tricks to cope the exam needs.

1 more week to go, the first SPM paper will be Chinese. Then, BM and the other subjects will continue to haunt us the next week.

How bad it is.... I'm addicted to a new drug, just before I'm going to have my drug test soon....

Maple Story

2 years ago, the game is still in BETA stage, I've started to play it because at that time I've nothing else to do(after PMR exam). Well I quit the game 2 weeks later due to various bugs and issues regarding the game, I cant login at all. Out of the frustration, I quit.

2 years later, now, I'm back into the game for the same reason too. But for now I think I'll stick with this game awhile.

I know, to be addicted to a drug like this, especially at this moment is really awful, as my exam is just less than 2 weeks to go, lol!!

Chong Hwa Graduation 2006

After spending 5 years(6 for some) studying in this school, it's about time to bid farewell to the school and friends. I felt that I'm lucky can be a part of this school, although it isnt the best but the quality is there.

Different people see things differently, I see lots of good things in this school. It's one of the best memories in my life for now. It's kinda unbelievable I'm gonna leave this school so soon, it's just too fast, 5 years.....

I must say that I've changed alot since my primary school era. From a quiet and shy boy, now I've become more confident and friendly guy. My social skills have improved alot too. Not least but last, I've gain alot of useful knowledge and skills I can benefit for the rest of my life. All the things I've learnt are priceless, it cant be bought by money or time, this is the perfect time to learn everything once in for all.



Let's talk about yesterday's graduation ceremony....

Surprisingly, the ceremony are punctual, because most of the time events like this are delayed for few moments. It's good to be punctual, isnt it? Dont need to waste everyone's time.

Other than the graduation cert we recieved, the school also give out cert for those who did well in their studies & co-curriculum activities. Too bad for my class, only few of them deserve to take such cert, which is valuable for future use. S1 to S5(exclude my class S3) classmates all have done well to receive the credit.

This graduation ceremony is a little unusual. You see, graduate means we're no longer require to goto school, but for us we still have to attend school even after the ceremony. Most teachers arent teaching, but some still insist we've to do our final revision in the class.

A graduation ceremony wont be a complete event without singing few songs, notable the song Auld Lang Syne, one of the famous farewell songs out there. Heh, this song is an emotional song, people usually will drop tears easily when singing this song. What's more worse for us is that we've to sing this song in 3 language(means sing 3 times!), 3 times the emotional feeling, lol.
Well, I only see 1 girl's crying, but heard few more suffer from emotional breakdown in the classroom.

After the graduation ceremony, we still have bout 1 and a half hour to spend before we leave the school. So what do we do? Everyone's up to 1 business, that is cam-whoring!! We all take pictures like we didnt take before, or it's like the end of the day, everyone will be leaving soon. Hah, whatever it is, we all do enjoy this precious time to take photos with our friends, because this is the only time the school authorities wouldnt bother us to do some crazy stunts, like S4 & S5's game of tree banging. I'll post video of that game if I can receive it from friend.



The whole graduation's atmosphere is consider to be joyful, rather to be sombre because we still can meet each other in school(like I said, still have to come to school!).

I think it is important to preserve those great memories we've in the school, especially the graduation day. So I've take my step to compile pics and vids together, some of them are available at the previous posts. I will post up any updates on those medias if I can get more.

Introducing my friends (Part I)

Hahah, it was a fun graduation day for us Form 5 students of Chong Hwa. Things bout the event will be written later, not now. But for now, I'll introduce to you some of my friends in school.

Not friend, but school's boss, the principal Mr Chu.

S4 & S5 "bang tree" gang. Their specialty is to pull victim and hit the tree on their groin. Ouch!

Han Xin, the head prefect. My classmate from F1 & F3, a great character, nominated the role model award for F5. She's a "ginger".

E5 girls. Hui Ing, Chi & Ejuan. These girls can be totally crazy when they're very high.

The bosses. Ex-president/chairperson of certain organisations.

Mr police Siu Cheng, my primary schoolmate too. One of the most successful guy from the primary school, being one of the best in Econ classes, in terms of personality.

Crazy classmates Hui Fen & Pui Teng. Likes to curse ppl "go die lar".

Ex-classmates from F3, Hui Koon & Lih Yeh. Lih Yeh just got 2nd best result award in Econ class, nice one.

S2's most noisy girls, Cat & Karen.

Big Yeo, the big size but soft hearted guy. My F3 classmate.

Classmates, May Chee, Sam(behind me) and Xiung. Very friendly people, always joke around.

Computer games gangs from S5. Great friends, very pro in games like DoTA(but I dont join the game).

S2 monitor Chuan Boon. Knew him since 9 yrs old til now, quite long isnt it?

Wen Xin. Knew her for 10 years alrdy since primary standard 1, hahah.
