Today recieved a parcel from my sis from Beijing. She send back some stuff here because she's doing her final year over there so it wont be long before she come back here.

From the parcel, I've found few photos that she took out from the photo album without our permission. These are precious photos....

KLCC + BookFest

* I didnt blog about this yestrday because I'm exhausted, I need some rest.

Saturday, got lots of plans to be done on this day. First, went to a family friend's house near KLCC with my mother. Stupid LRT feeder bus took us 30 mins from our home to the station, I just need 20 mins to walk there duh!! Time wasted....

Reach to the friend's house to have my lunch there. It's a traditional chinese way celebrating newborn child's 1st month(满月). Mmm.... the Beijing-style dishes are great!!(PS: those friends came from China mainland).

OK so I've "earn" the free lunch, next I went to KLCC. It's just opposite from the friend's house, I decided to check out the Adidas and Nike shop for the new stuff for football. Hmm.... I cant afford those gears.... too expensive. I do wish to have an original jersey though.

The BookFest is my next plan. It's just walking distance away from Suria KLCC and just above Aquaria KLCC.

Reached BookFest at 3.15pm. So it's the first day of the BookFest, and it's crowded. Parents brought their kids there, teenagers wandering around(like me), professionals finding books they want, bookworms who wants to get books cheaper than usual... etc.

I wanted to buy alot of things, but I didnt bring enough money for it. I manage to buy 3 books, one of them are Pington comic(平旦漫画). Cost me RM 62 for all the books. I wanted to get an album, 2CD+DVD at RM 50 but of course.... my money's almost negative.

Walk back to friend's house again. That time was around 5.45pm. I ate another round of lunch there, since there's leftover. Later walk to LRT station to catch the train to Taman Jaya, my father's fetching us for dinner at 天后宫.

While on the LRT, I cant stop laughing at the Pington comic I've bought, my mother have to remind me I'm in the public so dont make myself look stupid, hahah....

Spotted another black CLS....

I guess I dont need to write up bout the dinner.... something about the Ban Ning(万宁) Association of Hai Nan. I'm not quite sure about the overall situation, I just go there to read and eat, that's all. :D

Here's few pages of the Pington I've scanned.... a good laughter. :D

I Not Stupid Too movie review

This is a major spoilers of the movie. You've been warned, if you want to enjoy the movie, read this entry only after you finish the movie, else you can anticipate what's happening in the movie.

I'm really looking foward to watch this movie after having good reviews from my teachers and friends. Since the exam's over, so I asked my friend Chin Wei borrow me the DVD.

The "I Not Stupid" movie series emphasize humour/comedy and also seriousness. The settings are based on current Singapore society, with the majority population of Chinese.

This movie is a great laughter, and I think any teenagers who understand Chinese & English will love this movie very much!!! Like me, I like the movie is because it's a great comedy, and it reflects some of the problems everyone's facing.

The storyline and the message is clearly shown in the movie. With simple dialouge and expressions, even kids also can understand what the moral values in the movie.

Something I'm quite suprise and please is that the main character, Tom, is a blogger and won some sort of tennager-blogging competition. Mmm.... if only Malaysia will held a similiar competition, I'll definitely participate it!! :D

Btw, the 2 teachers in the movie, Mr Fu & the headmistress somehow reminds me of two teachers in my school, Mr Lee BG & Mdm Soong.

Mr Fu in the movie looks just like Mr Lee in my school, especially their body-shape are similiar and also the look quite alike too. Their motorcycle is almost the same too, it's funny to see they've so many things in common!! But in the movie Mr Fu is a responsible Chinese teacher, while Mr Lee in my school is just a slacker that throw all the responsibilities to the others.

The headmistress, resembles my school's admin Mdm Soong. Both of them are English-educated and both of them dont really know how to speak fluent Chinese. The way they talk is similiar. It's just funny that when I relate all these characters and my teachers together, it's interesting. :D

Of course, I've lots of thoughts about life after watching this movie. I somehow felt that the way I think changed a little. The effect? I'm not sure yet, but I know there's something different in me after watching the movie....

This is a must-watch movie for all chinese out there, regardless the age. This is a movie for everyone!

P/S: I've noticed the movie's electronic products are somehow sponsored by the brands start with 'M'. Let's see... Motorola & Macintosh(Apple).

Teacher's Day celebration

Right, so the exam's finish, the students from morning and afternoon session all gathered at the school's activity centre to celebrate the annual Teachers' Day.

Sheehz, this year's performance was terrible, really.
First, students dont have time to prepare because of exam. Second, the teachers arent willing to coorperate to live up the whole celebration(according to a teacher).
Since no one really put in effort celebrating this event, so I guess it's somehow a failure huh.

I see there's clowns performing on the stage, doing something that's really out of their minds. I met seniors from last year who're recieving award during the prize-giving presentation. Congratulations to Kong Hui & Yean Ling for getting the Best Role Model award(err...something like that).

This is the last year(maybe) I'll be celebrating Teachers' Day at this school so..... brought my cam to take photos like what I did in the past...

With these pics I guess you can judge just how many students there is in our school. Note that many students are absent so this is just a partition from the entire students.

Unfortunate Event

Today I learnt that one of my friend's mother, passed away due stroke.
What make things worse is, now he's alone. His father passed away while he's stil a kid. I really sympathy with his situation.... I dunno how he'll gonna continue his life soon, we're having a major exam this year.....

I cant really believe there's such terrible scenario happening to my friend.... But anyway I'll try my best to help him if he needs help. That's a really bad experience for anyone in their life, just like in The Sims 2. When a family member died, a Sims' aspiration meter will decrease greatly, making the Sims' mood very down for a period of time.
I'm sure this is happening to my friend now.

Oh well, he's a cheerful guy, was a librarian and also Christian Fellowship's president. Let's pray for him that he'll be strong to face the challenge to continue live it on.

Condolence..... Chee Hoe. :(

Exam XIII: Bio III & Chem III

Bio III

Phew~~ Those tips are really accurate. Hahah.... another glorious victory for me!! :D

Chem III

Alas, the last paper. The tips are given so.... u know what I'll going to say, dont u?? :P

---- GAME OVER ----

13 games played.
11 victories.
2 deaths. Fatality: Add Maths & Physics

Somehow, I treat this exam like playing game. So many tips and most of the tips are accurate!! If only the real exam will be like this....

Of course I'm happy that the exam is over. After school went to play ping pong for 1 hour. Whoa, smashing the ball didnt feel so good before after the exam's over!! :D

But then I overplayed. My stomach was complaining to me, I didnt eat anything since recess.... I only drank coffee(have to drink this, ystrdy night didnt have good sleep).
The stomach stop grumbles as soon as I ate my lunch and walk to tuition centre.

During the tuition, I was told that a tragic news happened to one of my friend......

Exam XII: Chemistry

Paper I

No tips for this paper, but I'm suprised that I manage to do ALL of the questions!! Yay!! :D

Paper II

Hah, all the tips really works!! But then, I dont have enough time to do finish up the last section. Oh well.... At least I stil can score a B I think. :D

If you want something to laugh about, well watch this video for sure!!
Guarantee you laugh and been wacked just like in the vid.

Exam XI: History

History I

Objective questions. 40 questions, 5 uncertain answers. Period.

History II

Just because I've too many tips, I've messed up the most important parts, the essay part(60/100). Arghh... missed few points in the essays, dunno what the teacher will think about my answer? Sulhan.... I doubt your ability teach and mark History paper.

--------------

Hah, S2 and S4s are really good in digging exam tips, but now everyone' facing the same proble, Chemistry paper. Neither school teacher nor tuition teacher are willing to give us tips for Chem. I guess we've to really work hard in this subject.

Chemistry, I have to really work hard on this subjet. Although I like this subject but it's weird I cant really get good results from it since last year. I dunno whether the teacher is too strict or I'm not good enough, I'll just try my best and give the best shot I've got tomorrow!!

Today read History textbook, read about this great building, called the Blue Mosque, famously known as Hagia Sophia. It is originally a Christian cathedral and later changed into an Islamic mosque. It's located at Istanbul, Turkey.

I really like this building, hopefully I can visit it when I'm older.

BookFest @ Malaysia 2006

The BookFest@Malaysia 2006 will be launched next week, at KL Convention Centre. I'm looking foward to go for this bookfest, quite long time I didnt shop for books alrdy.

According to Val, she's going there with her friends next Sunday. I might join them if they dont mind.
I dont get it, why we must pay "entrance fee" for a bookfair? I've been to so many bookfairs but this is the first time I heard publics would have to pay to enter. Popular want to earn a little from us 'eh?

Something to talk about KL Convention Centre....

My parents went to the CC last year, the first event ever held in the CC. It was the wedding of the son of Tan Sri Nasiruddin, the chairman of Naza automobile company. According to my parents, it was a grand wedding as Agong, and PM attend the wedding too. Talk about aristocrats huh....

It is not hard to get there, either take LRT Putra or bus to city centre and you're there. It's within walking distance from Suria KLCC, the shopping centre. The CC is located near the KLCC Park, and it's the neighbour of Aquaria KLCC too.

Map to get there.

Primay school meet secondary school

This evening I'm going to school(sec school) for a dinner to raise building fund for my primary school, Mun Yee.

The school had their first fund-raising campaign back in last century's year-end. They pledge for a new school structure, because at that time Mun Yee's having the lousiest infrastructure if compare to the other chinese primary schools, like Chong Hwa, Lee Rubber and Chian Nan. It's a reasonable reason why we want to rebuild the school.

This time's fund raising purpose is to build a new hall, which they're demolishing old school structure at this moment.
I wonder how they ask the contractor to start the work while they're stil short of money to pay the contractor?

It's ironic, when I'm Std 6(year 2002) I manage to enjoy the new school building for half year, before I graduate. I think we've some of the best infrastructure around, except we're lack of classrooms for more students.
We had a mini-hall at the basement, which is better than the old open-air basketball court(now carpark). We held most our school activities at the basement hall until now, I stil can see kids gathering at the basement hall for talks or competitions.

I dont really understand what my primary school wanted to build another hall. Even if they manage to build it, it's quite small, I doubt it's enough to fill in every students from Std 1 to Std 6.

I dont have suitbale pics of Mun Yee, I didnt think of taking the pic of the new school building, although I walk pass the school frequently. I might take my cam and take few pics of it next time.
Last year's Mun Yee gathering was a success, I manage to take 1 nice pic of the new school entrance sign.

Exam X: Biology

Biology I

I'm suprised, the objective questions are quite easy for me. Of all 50 questions, almost 40 of them are asking F4 topics. Luckily I studied F4 topics last night, I can handle it.

Biology II

I thought this was a killer topic, but I was wrong. I manage to answer all the questions. The last essay part is like writing a Malay essay, just throw in some Biology facts and you're done.
I'm happy with this paper after all, waiting for next week's tough papers.... History, Chemistry and Biology III. ;)

P/S: Throw in a song here to celebrate. :D

Exam IX: Computer and Phyz III

Computer

HTMLs, frames, tables, lists.... something I'm quite familiar after playing the net so long time. Piece of cake, though I might make 1 or 2 silly mistakes.

Physic III

I've got tips for this papers, and thankfully the tips are accurate. This paper's quite easy compare to the other 2, well at least I stil can salvage some marks from this paper to save this subject.

Exam VIII: Physic

Wednesday (17 May 06)

Phyz I

Half-roasted. I manage to do the calculation questions but didnt do well in the theory part. Luckily this is objective questions, so stil have 25% of success chance for randomly pick an answer.....

Phyz II

I'm dead, really. What can I say is I've almost cause myself fail from this subject. I dont have any tips for this paper, just read and wait to die..... :(

-----------

Will be having Computer & Phyz III paper on the next day....

Stupid Blogger yesterday deleted my Exam VIII post.... gonna rewrite everything again when I'm free, probably weekend.

So far my exam is stil consider OK, except +Math and Phyz. Tomorrow's having Biology. Sigh.....

Royal Selangor's World Cup 2006 Merchandise

Royal Selangor is promoting the World Cup 2006 pewter products recently, they're selling official merchandise of the big game eventhough I dont think that's any relationship between Royal Selangor and FIFA, the football organisation. It must be evil BUSINESS. Hmm....

Anyway, some of the products caught my attention.

Keychain with symbol. RM 35

World Cup 2006 Logo Pendant. RM 40

World Cup 2006 Logo & Title Pendant. RM 40

These are the pieces I'm affordable. Spend few bucks on these minerals, do you think it's worth it? To me, it's way cheaper than those gold ornaments or so.
Once in 4 years event, to keep it as a memento isnt a bad idea, though I didnt went to Germany to watch the game. :P

One thing I'd like to mention is, the pewter factory is actually located very near my place. It's within walking distance from my house(actually it's 2~4km away). It's been awhile didnt went there, maybe after the exam I should go there by myself and check it out.
If I'm serious getting this, I'll probably get only one, that's enough. Stil have to save my money for other uses too!!

My Formula

Some ask me how I study while I'm sitting infront of the computer all the time? Well my reply is simple, I study while listening to music. That's it.

What kind of songs? I've my own thoughts for songs that I'll listen while studying. The songs are quite lively and most of the songs are instrmental pieces. Occasionally I'll included few songs with someone singing.
Some songs are nice to listen, especially when you're in the mood to study.

Today manage to found this song, a song that I've been looking for a long time.
It's called 祈祷, which means Prayer. It's a chinese song btw.

祈祷

(女)让我们敲希望的钟啊,多少祈祷在心中;
(男)让大家看不到失败,叫成功永远在.
(女)让地球忘记了转动啊,四季少了夏秋冬;
(男)让宇宙关不了天窗,叫太阳不西沉.
(男)让欢喜代替了哀愁啊,微笑不会再害羞;
(女)让时光懂得去倒流,叫青春不开溜;
(男)让贫穷开始去逃亡啊,快乐健康留四方;
(女)让世界找不到黑暗,幸福像花开放.

(合)让我们敲希望的钟啊,多少祈祷在心中;
让大家看不到失败,叫成功永远在.
(合)让大家看不到失败,叫成功永远在.

Exam VII: Moral

Moral

Thankfully this paper isnt as hard as I expected. Hmm.... got confident to score good marks, but too bad my monthly test' terrible result drag the points down...

Tomorrow, physic.....

-------------

Today having exam at 10.30am, before that lots of free time to memorize all those moral values. Oh well, yesterday night have prob in sleeping, luckily I stil can sleep in the class before doing anything.

Went to tuition centre, but didnt attend the class. I just want to check out whether the teachers' teaching new stuff or I'm off back home to study Physic.

Hmm.... just another plain day I'm having. Have to really study hard for Physic...

Nokia N91

This phone is one of the Nokia's N series phone, which I've noticed since last year. I set my eye on this model, because of it's major feature as phone + music player.
4GB built-in harddisk memory in the phone, can store almost a thousand songs. I wont be bored after all!!!

Of course, it's a high-tech phone so there goes the mobile Internet, another feature I like. Hmm... mobile Messenger.... I can online MSN anywhere, anytime, provided the network available.

2 MPx camera, well it's another alternative for digital cam, an extra for me.

I dunno whether this phone will be out-of-date so fast, but right now it's something new and many ppl wanna try it.

I know it cost at least RM 2k here, plus I dont really think my parents will get this stuff for me so.... I'll have to dream about it. :P

P/S: The keypad is too small, maybe not suitable for my big fingers. :S

Exam VI: English for Science & Technology

Paper I & II

To my suprise, today's EST paper isnt from the Edu Department, it is our school's own paper. Very well, these 2 papers are the easiest papers I had in this exam season so far, very easy, plus lots of free time to revise other subjects too. :D
A for me. E'nuff to say. :P

Next.... Moral(moron's subject).

-----------

Today the morning session are crowded.
F3s from afternoon session shows up early in the morning to sit for their PMR trial exam, which similiar to my case 2 years ago.
New F6 students are having orientation today, too. All of them are my seniors, quite nice to have them back here. :)

Lots of free time today... both of the EST papers only used up 2 hours and 30 mins, left about 4 hours free time for us. Weee~~~

Spent the free time revise Moral(tomorrow) & also Phyz(the day after tomorrow). Hmm.... felt asleep while revising Phyz, friends ask me whether I'll sleep during the paper. Heh, dangerous.

Sometimes, coming back from school is an opportunity for me to socialize with others. On the way back, a classmate followed me and at the bus stop I chat with a middle-aged man that ask me bout education systems. Hop into the bus, met my primary schoolmate. Nice....

I dont mind walk back from the LRT station back to my house, sometimes it's just nice to walk like this, as an exercise. According to Google Earth, the walking distance from my house to the LRT station is about 2km....

Anyhow, tommorow's paper is Moral, a subject which I refered as a failure of the Ministry of Edu.
Moral is something we learn and practically use it in our life, not by paperworks DUH!!
We dont judge a person's Moral by paper, we judge it by his/her action, attitude and etique.
I really hate how the way we're tested our Moral values.... hate the stupid way the Ministry of Edu testing us.

Last year Moral exam's review.

Something that I've missed last year.

Hmm..... recently I've some flashbacks on a trip that I've missed last year November. If anyone follows this blog since last year, you'll probably know what happen. It's during the mid-Nov, when I'm suffering from one of the most unforgettable event in my life. Oh well....

The trip I've missed is a trip to Melaka, a 2D1N stay at the A'famosa resort. It's a joint trip of Students Union and Librarian. In school we dont really interact as a society, but rather individually.
So the trip is meant for us to get to know each others, as well as relax ourselves after studying for 10 months-(minus the holidays).

I've to ask my friend Chin Wei replace me to follow the trip because I'm having another event. So I asked him to get me photos of SYTs, which he gladly took for me.
The the morning of 15th Nov, they depart to the south, while I'm heading to the north. They're moving on for enjoyment and excitment, while I'm going for the worst part of the whole procession. Sigh....

This maybe serves as a memory flashback I've lately.... I've write about it last November. Read it at your own interest. Most of the post sounds negative though.

Anyway, I have to thanks Chin Wei and Sun Hua for sending me those pics, but it's incomplete(have to ask for more from them.). One of the best pic they took...

Exam Tips?

Ok, so this is the exam season for most students, sharing tips is a common activity among students and teachers. Our Form 5's exams are based on the papers set by the Education Department of Kuala Lumpur Federal Terriotory(Jabatan Pendidikan WP Kuala Lumpur), almost every F5 students in KL are sitting for the same paper during the exam season.

Because of this, many tips are leaked as teachers or someone else told the students what's coming out for the exam. Not only that, students from different schools spread the tips to friends from other schools and this continues until almost everyone knows what's coming out.
But of course, the tips we got is only the tip of the iceberg, stil have to work hard to take on the exam.

Few weeks ago I've spread Malay & English tips, so now many friends start asking me for tips for the upcoming papers. Karen asked me bout History, Jian Shern & Chow Hong asked me bout EST paper(doing this tomorrow).... etc. I'm, of course are glad to share with them what I know, but getting a little annoyed by how the way they ask.
I dunno, but I'll probably do the same thing if I want to ask tips from others too.
It's just funny that I like to do something which I dont like others did to me.

Now I'll talk about the tips I've got so far....

EST(English for Science & Tech)
Read newspaper for the latest issue.

History
Focus more on F5 essay questions. F5 topics more important than F4's.

Will probably post more if I got. If you have some tips, do share with me. :P

FA Cup Final, football boots issue

It seems that Nike's new AZT IV Supremacy causing probs for players again. Noticed the West Ham players Harewood and Ferdinand? They're wearing this.

Some how, this boots causes problems for both of them. Harewood suffers leg cramp during the 2nd extra time, and Ferdinand missed his penalty(though that hardly related to the boots). I only noticed these 2 players wearing this new model, I guess not many players dare to try this boots after Rooney's accident.

Take a look at Liverpool's side.
I've noticed Cisse switched his boots. Cisse scored his first goal with the red Adidas +F50.6 Tunit. I guess he's using the Lightweight chasis(the part that applies the studs) that makes him react faster.

Later in the game I've noticed that he changed to the yellow Tunit. I bet he had switch to Comfort chasis after playing more defensively.

Meanwhile, Gerrard was playing at this very best with this Predator Absolute. This boot was quoted "Power / Swerve / Accuracy", I guess they're right this time.

3 days of holidays, should've make full use of it, but I guess no.... I spend 2/3 of the holidays sitting infront of com(as usual), I was hooked up with The Sims 2, which I've bought during 2004 Sept. First time buy original copy that time... cost RM 120 and comes with a T-shirt, nice.
I abandon the game for few months because my 4 years old Pentium 4 is running the game on the minimum specifications.... I couldnt 100% enjoy the game, but it is stil nice to play sometimes.

I shouldnt get into this game at this moment, I suppose to do my revision. Although Monday's EST paper isnt a threat for myself, but those subjects to come are something tricky....

Meanwhile, I manage to watch the final quarter of the FA Cup final after coming back from a dinner with parents. It's Liverpool VS West Ham. West Ham was leading 3-2 at that moment. I watch the match til 91st minute, when Steven Gerrard blast that ball into the net from 30 yards(1/4 of the field), which make the score 3-3.

Extra time, West Ham's Marlem Harewood should've score the vital goal while Liverpool Reina kept the ball out, but in the end his left foot bounce the ball out of the net.

The dead ball penalty, which Liverpool's keeper Reina saved 3 out of 4 attemps, while West Ham missed 3 out of 4 attempts, too. Liverpool won the game 3-1 by penalty.

Some asked what so special about football? Well.... it's a breath-taking game. Anything can happen at anytime, West Ham is just minutes away from lifting the cup but was screwed by the final minutes. That makes football so interesting that it's the most popular sports in the whole world...

Steve Gerrard is the happy man after all, man of the match. Assists goals and also scoring great goals, great leader.

Stil have to continue study.... this is just not the time to enjoy yet....

P/S: Something isnt looking good for football boots, I'll talk about it on the next post.
