50th Merdeka Day

Crap, last night I slept too early and today I wake up too late, I've missed the fireworks and the parade show! :(

Luckily it's still not too late to celebrate the National Day here on my blog, heheh.
31st of August can be remembered for 2 events, one is Malaysia's National Day and the second is Princess Diana's death in Paris. One is joyous event and another is a sadden event, clash together.

In the Malaysian blogsphere many bloggers wrote what they think about this nation's 50th birthday. All of us love the country, no doubt, despite having some problems with something to do with the gov.

For me, I really appreciate I was born in this country, far better than the other countries around the world. Seriously, I've been to many other cities before, and I think none of them can match our Kuala Lumpur! I think the closest match maybe Taipei city, though.

I do not deny there's some old rivalries between the races, but then again we still can live with each others peacefully. Yes there's been verbal abuses, but thankfully there isn't bloodshed event since the May 13 incident.

So what makes this country so good? There are many reasons to answer this question but I need some time to list out and elaborate bout it. It's a big deal you know, hahah.

  • Weather
Here in Malaysia, there's no 4 seasons but there is 2 seasons. You guessed, it's either sunny day or rainy day. :)
If your Geography knowledge is good, you'll know Malaysia is a tropical country located just a little north from the equator. We have a completely blue and sometimes cloudy skyline, which is great! Some cities in this world can only see brownish or grayish skyline all the year round, pity pity....

  • Food
We cant survive without food, and bless us this country is the haven for food lovers! Local food and international food blend in well here in Malaysia, creating lots of creative and delicious dishes for us to enjoy the pleasure of eating good food. Maybe I sounds a little weird here, but nevertheless you wont be disappointed with the food when you come here!

  • Culture
Now this is something truly unique for Malaysia. Yes we're proud to label ourselves as a multi-racial country, but do not forget we aren't the only country to have a society build up from different races, I take the example of Singapore and France.
What's unique about the Malaysian culture, is that the culture born from the assimilation of the essence of the races' cultures. Although part of the cultures are assimilated, yet each races still maintain their traditional cultures very well. This can be proven by the festivals celebrated by the races, namely Hari Raya, Chinese New Year and Deepavali.

  • I think this should be enough as a tribute for my own country. Though it's not perfect, but there's something special about it, somewhat an attraction to lure people from around to the world come here. Those Malaysians who're abroad will somehow miss Malaysia dearly, hahah.

I dont think I can live it to see the 100th anniversary, well if I cant make it, at least the future generation will. ;)

    Adidas Predator Power 2008 photos

Found these nice closeup pics of the new Predator series from BootNR.

I've mentioned this boots before on previous posts, now finally got better pics of 'em. I just hope Flickr dont delete it like last time they did. :S

Very typical top view of the boots. Now this is the gray colourway. No traces of synthetic leather in this pair(this is the K-leather if not mistaken), though I heard Adidas has few variations for this new boots. No further technical details bout it yet.

    DSC09479_a (Large)

The upgraded PowerPulse element. Note that it is aligned slightly to one side, as the previous version is aligned to the centre.
For those who dunno, PowerPulse is the redesigned sole for Predator boots to distribute the boot's weight towards the front part, so that the player can strike the ball with more power, something like that.

Pretty interesting there, I expect Adidas will launch the boots maybe year end or early next year? More details will leak around the net when the release is coming close, heh.
Anymore updates bout this boots I'll post it up here. ;)

    The end of August

So fast, my 1 week holiday is coming to it's end at last. This holiday is quite fun for me, though computer problems marred the holiday pleasure.

Let's recap what I've been doing in the past week.
  • 1st weekend, went Penang to climb Bkt Bendera. Stayed for 1 night.
  • Fixed my main com, replaced the graphic card.
  • Went to 3T's house for gathering party, great party that is! Everyone really enjoy it!
    Some photos...
Chin Wei and meFootball gang + extraGroup photo
    more pics here

Of course, like anyone else I'm reluctant to go back to college after spending the holiday. Anyway it isnt so hard after all, because this week we only study for 4 days and then we'll have another holiday(on Friday), celebrating our 50th national day that is.

    Computer and the Graphic

Hmm.... finally I get back the primary computer after the graphic card went wrong few weeks ago. Now I've replaced it to Sapphire Radeon 9550 graphic card. Consider as an upgrade, as my previous graphic card is a 64MB video memory while this graphic card boosted 256MB memory, big difference that is.

Anyway the upgrade is costly than I thought, I budget around RM150 but this card cost RM200.

I will probably write bout the computers I'm using when this com is not available. It's a long story though.

    Political Warfare

I dont like politics, but the fact is that I cant avoid political confrontations in my life.

As a youngster, whether like it or not, have to deal with political stuffs, at least once or twice within a few years. Dont get what I mean? Youngsters will eventually turn into an eligible voter someday, so they have to decide who they should vote for. I wont be involved in the next election, but I certainly will vote for the other election to come.

The next election will be held pretty soon(late '07 or early '08), as hinted by the gov. For some political reasons, the gov have to manipulate the election date in order to prevent one of their toughest opposition to compete in the upcoming election.

As a Malaysian, we understand that there are certain issues that is highly sensitive, namely racial and religious topics. It is a taboo for us to make fun and show disrespect of these topics, but somehow there is still someone out there to play with fire.

Talk about politicians, sometimes I think they're like a snake biting on it's own tail. It is quite common to have disagreements at certain matter within own members, but there's some of them went over the limit, starting to turn against each other. Those radical or fanatics or whatever you can label them, teases, insult and speak harshly at their own political members, attempting to cause unnecessary problems for the organisation itself.

To be straight forward, I see that those people in the political world sometimes remind me of my schooling days.
"Those who're ignorant and brainless would try to fool around by speak out loudly without thinking what they're talking about, while those noble and capable ones kept quiet as they've no chance to speak for themselves."
Of course, not of all of them are pointless, but only a handful of them speak for the truth, which is rare.

Right now, the Malaysian gov authorities had their eyes set on Malaysian bloggers & webmasters, whom the authorities fear for them would spread false rumours, wind up some particular parties and causes stir within the community, eventually affecting the upcoming election. Those who're involved with the issue are mostly political observers who uses Internet as their medium to express their thoughts, as well as their opinions. Internet can be a place full of lies, so spreading false infos is not uncommon these days. Somehow, this matter did drag along other local bloggers and webmasters, as the authorities are taking the matter seriously by monitoring blogs and webs, and possible censoring them. This makes netizens question the rights and freedom of the Internet.

Lets get back to the election.

According to the adults, they questioned if the current gov party will win the election as easy as they used to be, as they're facing tough competitions from the oppositions. Since the last election, the gov had made mistakes that upsets many people. I certainly understands that an individual or organisation would make mistakes, but for a political party this would cost their votes. From my experience of playing SimCity game, I learn that in order to secure your political position, you have to make the people happy, or at least satisfied with the situation. It is a simple rule, but I can only see the gov is favouring a particular group of people, neglecting the others.

In my opinion, no matter how clean and clear you look at the political world, there must be the darkside overshadows the bright side. Corruption, lies, faking, double-agent etc is been part of the game. I believe in this world, no political party can last long without playing these dirty tricks. I know not all of them fall for the game, but still there must be someone else playing it behind the scene. It is a part of our human nature, greed that is.

Although there's lots of clashes in the political world, but compare to some other nations, our political situation is far better than them. At least, here the politicians would fight against each others through the war of words & debates, rather than drafting military to threaten others. No matter how fierce the politicians' arguments, things would be settled in a non-bloodshed manner.

I think that's what I wanna talk about the political stuffs. I'm not a pro in this issue, just speak it out of my mind. If you've any thoughts wanna share, feel free to comment, but do not flame me OK?

    Penang!

Yeah.... now writing this from my relative's house in Penang! The haven of delicious food, mmm......
The journey to Penang isn't that smooth though, spent 6 hours on the road to reach Penang. Many cars on the road causing traffic jam, oh well. Now is the holiday weekend, so more people are traveling here and there.

Tomorrow I'll be climbing the Bkt Bendera, hahah. Other than enjoying nice food, I also need to exercise too, heheh.

I'll see whether I'll be writing anything tomorrow when I get back, or maybe Monday? We'll see...

    Double Maths Test

Pure Maths is the 1st paper of our 2nd test. Hmm.... I'm glad that I know how to do almost every questions, except the tricky geometric progression question. Not so bad I guess, I got the feeling I'll do better than the previous test. :D

Now here comes the Applied Maths test. One day before the test I met with the lecturer Mr Yap, who told me it's not hard, but I've misinterpret him, things are the opposite of what he said.

For today's Applied Maths test, many of us did not as good as our 1st test, for sure. Many are confusing what the heck is going on with the questions, as we're given 2 sets of papers with almost similar questions, except that the figures had been altered a little, as a counter-measurement to prevent students from cheating in the test.
Mr Yap is an evil lecturer, he grins all the way through out the exam going on. He must be very satisfied to see his plans "torturing" us..... Crap!

Nevermind bout the test, after the last lesson, Bio practical, I head to the futsal court to play the last game before the holiday. It's a good game, though I'm exhausted after playing for 1 hour plus.

After the game, I drove Kok Yi and Chin Hao to BRJ to had my lunch(they ate their lunch already). Haha it's nice to relax abit, chit-chat with friends after all, we deserves the holiday! :D

Yeah.... now got 1 whole week to rest myself well, prepare a little bit for the upcoming 3 Science tests, which planned at the early Sept. GGz....

    14 August 2007

    College post again

This week Tues and Weds Chem and Applied Maths lecturer, Mr Low and Mr Yap both went for some sort of course, leaving us with lots of free times to kill for this two days. I wouldn't miss the oppoturnity to write this blog from the college's CIT lab, heh.

The coms at my house isn't that good for blogging. Main com is still "dead" and I've no time to send it to the tech shop. 1st substitute labtop is also down due to system failure. 2nd substitute com, lagging sometimes making me no mood to write anhything. Oh well.

Nevermind then, at least today I got 3 hours to kill thanks to Mr Low and Mr Yap, lol.

This week gonna have 2 Maths test, a little nervous, especially Applied Maths paper.
Probabilities can drive me crazy!! But after finishing most of the tutorials manage to understand some of the important concepts. I should have focus more on Pure Maths as the P Maths test is one day earlier than A Maths. For P Maths, refer notes and tutorials and I think I'll somehow get points from it.

Let's talk about what I've learn recently.

In Biology, we're almost done with Cell Division I, which talks about the normal cell division process of mitosis. Now we're learning bout abnormal cell division, which leads to cancer, one of the main cause of death worldwide(if not mistaken it's in the Top 3 according to Wikipedia). Life-threatening stuff, as most of us knew it already. It is an interesting topic to study about, how and why the normal cells can mutate to become killer cells, causing lots of troubles to individuals.
I for one, had a benign tumour(harmless) grow on by back shoulder, that's about 7 years ago I think. That time I know nothing bout cancer, only then later I realised that I'm lucky because it's a benign tumour. If it's a malignant tumour, I'm possible not be able to live in the lifestyle I'm enjoying now. Cancer is a very troublesome, yet every humanbeing has the risk of getting cancer, no matter in which stage of our life. According to studies, ageing people tend to get higher cancer risk though, due to weaker body immunity system that couldn't effectively wipe out mutated cells that later will form cancer/tumour.

For Physics, now we're working on Stress and Strain, something I only learn a little back in secondary school. It's related to springs or elastic objects, making use of the Hooke's Law and also Young's modulus. I haven't revise on this topic that much yet as it's not included in the Test 2. I still prefer the Forces and Works though, those calculating can be complicated but when you got the answer, it's really satisfying!

Chemistry, hmm.... now we're learning bout thermochemistry, something to do with heat change within the chemical reaction. The 2 important terms used in this chapter is EXOTHERMIC(release heat -ΔH, bond-breaking) and ENDOTHERMIC(absorb heat +ΔH, bond-forming). This is an important topic in Chemistry, because the later topics will need knowledge bout thermochemistry, so I should give this topic a little more attention, hmm....

I felt like nothing much to talk about the Maths, as the test is coming soon. Actually Applied Maths isn't too hard, just that it's tricky and misleading at times. For Pure Maths, more advance maths is taught from our previous Add Maths in secondary school. Now we're able to deal with polynomial functions, something we couldn't achieved when studying Add Maths.

Today happened to be one of my classmate, Chen Ping's(also my father's) birthday, hah. At first we decided to go outside to celebrate during the 3 hours breaktime, but in the end we went to the college's clubhouse cafe. It's more expensive than canteen 1 & 2, and the quality isn't that satisfying too.

Oh I think that I've left out GP. Used to be one of the subject I'm looking forward the most, but after the replacement of lecturer, started to dislike it. The actual idea for the subject is good, but the teacher just dunno how to present it. Before this we've Ms Lynn, which I think she's very good in handling GP, but now we've Mdm Kalaimathy, a disappointment to all of us. She's always late for our class, due to reasons she briefly talks about. She's like being busy all the time, affecting our GP classes. The way she taught is just like secondary school teachers, read from the text and do own thinkings. By comparing Ms Lynn and Mdm Kalaimathy's lessons, we'll be very active in Ms Lynn's class but very sleepy in Kalaimathy's class. This is the time I think that a subject that suppose to be fun is ruined by the lecturer. DISAPPOINTED!!

I've wrote quite alot this time, as I've so much free time to kill in the CIT lab hahaha. I've spent like 1 hour plus to write this post, now is 12.30pm already. Later got Bio tutorial at 1pm.

    Beware of rodent feces

I know the title is disgusting, but what is more important is that the effects on human health. Read this forwarded mail.

A stock clerk was sent to clean up a storeroom in Maui , Hawaii .

When he got back, he was complaining that the storeroom was really filthy and that he had noticed dried mouse/rat droppings in some areas.!
A couple of days later, he started to feel like he was coming down with a stomach flu, complained of sore joints and headaches, and began to vomit.

He went to bed and never really got up again. Within two days he was severely ill and weak. His blood sugar count was down to 66, and his face and eyeballs were yellow. He was rushed to the emergency at Pali-Momi, where he was diagnosed to be suffering from massive organ failure. He died shortly before midnight.

No one would have made the connection between his job and his death, had it not been for a doctor who specifically asked if he had been in a warehouse or exposed to dried rat/mouse droppings at anytime. They said there is a virus (much like the Hanta virus) that lives in dried rat and mouse droppings.

Once dried, these droppings are like dust and can easily be breathed in or ingested if a person does not wear protective gear or fails to wash face and hands thoroughly
An autopsy was performed on the clerk to verify the doctor's suspicions...

This is why it is extremely important to ALWAYS carefully rinse off the tops of canned sodas or foods, and to wipe off pasta packaging, cereal boxes, and so on.

Almost everything you buy in a supermarket was stored in a warehouse at one time or another, and stores themselves often have rodents.

Most of us remember to wash vegetables and fruits but never think of boxes and cans.

The ugly truth is, even the most modern, upper-class, super store has rats and mice. And their warehouse most assuredly does!

Whenever you buy any canned soft drink, please make sure that you wash the top with running water and soap or, if that is not available, drink with a straw.

The investigation of soda cans by the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta discovered that the tops of soda cans can be encrusted with dried rat's urine, which is so toxic it can be lethal. Canned drinks and other foodstuffs are stored in warehouses and containers that are usually infested with rodents, and then they get transported to retail outlets without being properly cleaned.

Well believe it or not, rodents can be more dangerous than we think of. My family also practises washing cans or packages before consuming it. Just wash with tap water then wipe it, as simple as that. Remember, prevention is better than treatment!

    Slide Tackle Pro

Today had a great football game. It doesnt started very well at first, for me being the GK once again, but conceded 4 goals in a row without saving any shots at all, out of frustration I decided to switch back to be the midfielder. It turn out to be quite good, I'm able to hold back the opponents and assist in attacking though. Although today I did not score any goal for the first half, I'm still satisfied as I'm able to successfully tackle the others, which I enjoy doing it although it hurts sometimes.

Second half, some malay guys turn up on the field. According to Hwaai Shian, they're friendly and wanna play a match with us. At first I'm reluctant to play with them, but since we promised to play, so there's nothing can be done.
The game goal changed into a 1m X 1m goal made out of PVC pipes, much much smaller than ordinary goalpost, thus making the game more challenging.

All of us chinese play very well. Although the opposition is adults but our level is on par with them. I'm a happy guy, new targets for me to try out slide tackle.
I think today I really went crazy sliding around. Anyhow I still have to be careful as slide tackle can possible cause damage to the other player.
I do lucky enough to sneak in a goal from a distance away from the goal. Like I said this goal is small, making long-range effort hard to score but I'm very fortunate to able to score the goal hahah. My team's 2 other goals contributed by Keng Hoe aka monkey, heh.

In oder for me to enjoy the game, sacrifice is needed. Slide tackles causes minor scratches on my knee, not a big deal. The real damage done to my left foot today is when I'm clearing a shot from Wai Keong while he practise shooting. My left foot blocked the ball awkwardly, causing the foot swells until now. It is not that pain at the beginning, but the real injury only reveals itself after the game.

I dunno how bad the injury is, possible last for few days before recovery. I think this might be one of the serious injuries I had since I started playing football. Of course the injury isnt "high profile injuries" suffered by pro players, but for my own health concern this is not a good news.

It's kinda impossible to rest my foot because in college I've to walk a lot, switching from lecture halls to tutorial classrooms.

    Back to Chong Hwa

While drafting this post, the temporary substitute laptop went down. This time I suspect is something to do with the hardware. There's lots of computer problems that I dunno how to solve it, and this is one of 'em. Now writing this on the other substitute computer, an XP running on Celeron processor (inferior to Pentium series processor). Sigh... dunno when I can get my main com fixed!! :(

Yeah today finally can go back to the old school visit some friends! :D

The plan is almost canceled as one of my "spy" Kah Shih inform me that their teacher is coming back so no free period for me to sneak in. T_T
Luckily I msg ask another friend, Vinc, so happened that his class is having free period at the same time, so I still got a place to sneak in.

Today is a replacement class for a future holiday, so as usual many of them are absent(being a habit for us lol). In the end only about 20 of them turn out for Science classmates, and a few of them from Art class(Business class to be exact).

Lower6 Bio class is placed at a hidden corner of the school compound, virtually cannot be seen from outside, but it's a very spacious classroom and basically is their second home, as they're the only class uses the room, not sharing it with any other class. Quite a number of my S3 mates are in this class.

Lower6 Phyz classroom, located at the Music room. Now dunno where's Ms Hoh the music teacher went, the piano is still there and there's still posters of her performance in there. Lucky for Phyz classmates they now got a computer and projector in their room, nice. I tried show my video on the projector, looks quite good hahah. Just too bad not everyone's in the room so only a few of them can watch the video.

I dont have the chance to goto Lower6 Arts' classrom, but I know it's situated at the Form 6 block, now used by Upper 6 students(my seniors).

Talk about my schoolmates, I've noticed there's a few new faces around. Some students from other school have to transfer to our school to study Form6 because their school doesnt have STPM class so they've to study other places or other courses. I havent meet with all of them yet, as I said many of them are missing in action today, lol.

I've also noticed an interesting newcomer, a Costa Rican girl named Laura. She's coming here to study on a student exchange program. During '05 to '06 period we had a German girl Nina came to our school, the first foreign student in the history of Chong Hwa lol.
Well, I hope those newcomers, especially Laura can adapt well in the school life. I am very sure that my friends in F6 are willing to help her out. :)

Also one thing I noticed bout my schoolmates, is that nowdays they're very active in co-curricular activities. They say wanna gain extra marks for the overall result or so, what CGPA stuffs. Whatever it is, it doesnt related to me at all. I've notice now many of them now join multiple societies and clubs. Some clubs or societies now got extra F6 members, are Students Union, Police Cadet, Science Club and Prefects Board? Before this I dont see so many F6 involved in those clubs or societies. Things in the old school sure change alot when I'm not around, hmm....

Today some of them stay back to practise performance for the 6 Formers' Club farewell party. Lower 6s "sent off" Upper 6s, heh. Their presentation looks weird and funny, involving lots of screaming parts. Bare in mind that those screamers are notorious sopranos in the school, few of them combine their screams together will result noise pollution. This is only a part of the whole soprano groups, as many of them went study elsewhere already, so the "firepower" decrease, luckily hahah.

After their practise I went back with them. On the way fetching back few mates, namely 3T(who tags along with me back to school), Weng Joew, Kah Eng and Meng Yan. A little
nervous to have so many passengers, I'm still a newbie driver so have to concentrate hard. It's quite a challenge though as they keep on telling jokes around. Hah....

Anyway back to school there must be something to do with the teachers. This time I didnt sneak into the teachers' office, only met 1 or 2 of them.
First saw Ms Chong, my Moral teacher(hate the subject, but she's still OK though) for last year.
Then Mdm Premmah, my Bio teacher for 2 years hahaha, still recognise me hahaha.
    Mdm Lee
, my Computer lesson teacher from F1 to F2.
Mdm Yeak, my Chinese and Moral teacher, still greet my warmly though hairstyle keeps on changing haha.
There's a few of them I only seen them but didnt talk to them.
    Mdm Sik
, +Maths teacher just pass by the office door but I couldnt call her as I forgot her name at that time lol.
Mdm Chek, busying in the office. I heard she'd just promoted to be the school admin, replacing Mdm Ong. Congratz to her, it is a tough job though. Too bad for the students now couldnt enjoy her storytelling in the class, hah.

Quite a satisfying trip back to the old school, however I will still go back there again, sometime....

    10 August 2007

    My updates

So fast next week I'll be having double Maths test, Pure Maths and Applied Maths. Luckily next week 2 lecturers will be away so can sneak more time to revise abit. I think Pure Maths still OK, but Applied Maths is the killer. 'til now I'm still confused with the probabilities.... which formula to apply on which situation. Sigh....

Today played another game of futsal at college after lessons. Not a bad game, playing with few classmates. The weather is too good today, blazing sun above the skies.... and we're playing under the sun without shade. Crazy that is.

Hmm.... I'm planning tomorrow go back to old school Chong Hwa, visit some friends, yea. I havent went back to the school since I took the SPM result on March. Things must have change alot from March til now, because now many of my friends are taking Form 6 in the school. I dare to say I almost know everyone studying in Lower 6 classes there, heh.

This weekend parents will be going out again, so I'll be home alone. Haha I'm get used to it, being alone all the time.

    Yanni albums collection

    My Yanni albums collection

Captured this pic few days ago to post it up on Yanni's official forum, heh.

It is not easy to get his albums here as it's not widely available, and when there's one the price kills(imported stuff, more expensive than usual albums).
My sis contributed almost the entire album collection as it's quite popular in China. Yanni has a fanbase in China after performing in the Forbidden City in year 1997.

A great composer he is, if you dunno him or havent tried his music, here's a short sample clip.

    Google Adsense Cheque

Google sent me the cheque few days ago but I didnt realised that until today morning. The cheque is being sent in an ordinary white envelope, I thought it was my father's mail but it was not. My mom placed the envelope on my wallet this morning and I was surprise! Haha....

Anyway too bad the MYR to USD rate went down recently. Suppose to be good news for those who're going to USA, but for someone like me earning USD is negative effect. 1 USD used to be 3.6 MYR, but now the rate dropped til 3.4, so I "rugi" bout 0.2? Hahah.... nowdays I'm getting very particular with figures, especially money.

Well, getting the cheque is a good start to earn some extra income. I wonder when I'll get my next Adsense cheque? Anyway I still got bout 50% to go to get my Nuffnang cheque, a local online ads service just like Adsense. Money money money.... haha. :D

    The Glorious Defeat

Yea we are defeated, at least not as bad as I expected. We lost 0-2, well I might be the blame as I'm the GK.
First goal I conceded is a blunder, but the 2nd goal is a beautiful strike by the opponent, straight into the goal without screwing the ball, not an easy way to kick it you know.

As for my team? Again I did not setup the formation before hand, and I only decide who's playing where like half and hour before the game starts.

The opponents are having few state-level players, very good team. Well, I accept the defeat, and wish 'em luck to trash anyone in their path to be the champs. ;)

I might make myself into "exile" for midfield post, maybe concentrate training on GK? Hahah.... we'll see what's going on this weekend then.

    05 August 2007

    SPUS Sports Carnival

Tomorrow gonna have an intra-school sports competition for my school division (School of Pre-U Studies). The other schools already finished their intra-school competitions, so we SPUS are the last one.

I'm involved with the football match this time, excited bout it because the opponent team is one of the toughest team around, especially their striker, a state player. As for my side? I've played with all of them before so I think I've got a pretty decent team as well.

My only problem is, who's the goal keeper? There's 1 choice in the team but if I draft that person to be the GK then have to find someone to replace the left wing position. Worse come to worse, I might draft myself to be the GK. I used to play GK but lately I've been playing other roles like midfield, so I'm not sure how will I perform if I really play as GK in the end. I think long shots shouldnt be much problem, but close range shots, hmm....

If I'm playing in the center midfield tomorrow, I wont let the opponents pass that easily. If the timing is perfect, I might slide tackle them, which is fun if it's done correctly. If not, I might suffer from yellow card or red card punishment, heh. Play with risk is fun sometimes, isnt it?

For this match I've prepared my gears, especially the boots. Still playing with my faithful Adidas Predator Absolado boots, heh. Not planning to get a new one as this boots is still as good as new although I've been playing it for the whole year. Since it uses synthetic leather so cleaning it up is easier, and last longer than conventional calf leather. My previous Predator Pulsado was ripped off, now I realised it must be something to do with the leather.
Besides, it always look cool to have a pair of shiny boots into the action, hahah.

This time I just wanna play a good game, and I dont mind what is the result too. If we win, of course I'll be delighted, and if we lose, try harder next time hahah.
The match starts at 5pm tomorrow, so I'll be probably going back home prepare myself and goto college again to play the game. Eherh, I'll write bout it maybe tomorrow if I got time, or few days later? Depends....

Anyhow I still wanna shout about this:

    PC Fair 2007

Luckily today's Bio practical finished in time, thanks to the temporary lecturer Ms How. A good Bio practical I had today. :)

This year went to PC Fair alone, not like last year sisters tag alone. Sometimes I prefer to shop alone, more freedom and no need to bother bout others.

The PC Fair takes place at KL Convention Center, a stone throw away from Suria KLCC. They still use last year's format, the exhibit starts from the top floor hall, firstly greeted by powerful sound blast at the hall featuring audio stuffs like speakers, hi-fi set, headphones etc.

2nd hall, the big computer names like Dell, Toshiba etc setup their flagship booths. Nothing that appealing, as I still cant get my own laptop yet. :\

To the lower floor, where the "real" PC Fair is. Seriously, it looks like a market, except that the stalls are selling some high tech stuffs. It's huge, I think probably bigger than the previous venue at Putra World Trade Center(last time I went there is 2002, where I bought my main com).

So what's my result from the PC Fair? Here is it...

  • PS2 to USB connector (connects PS2 socket keyboard and mouse to a USB slot). RM 15.
  • Canon BCI 24 twin-black and colour ink. RM 78.
  • 2 Canon Photo Paper Glossy. RM 19.
  • Kingston SD card 1GB. RM 53.
  • GP Rechargable Battery AAA x2, with USB charger. RM 27.
  • Fujifilm DVD-R 25 pcs. RM 26.

Total spent about RM200++. I plan to fork out some money to get a 2GB USB drive but thinking since I've a 1GB, so I better stick with the old one for the time being.

I hope the supplies I bought today can last til next year's PC Fair, hahah. ;)

    What I'm Up To, recently....

This is not a suitable computer to write stuffs, making me no "appetite" to blog so please forgive me if this blog is not updated that often. (^__^")

Monday our class ends earlier at 12pm because scholarship folders have to attend a cert-giving ceremony in the college hall, attended by Dato Seri Ong Kah Ting(president of MCA, but eventually his representative turn out for him). I'm not a scholar so I can enjoy the early break that day. It's quite interesting to see all those scholar friends suddenly wear formal dress code to the class, like fashion show lol.

I planned to use that free time to train football awhile, but most of the teammates are attending the scholarship stuff so in the end I trained with another 2 members. We can only train at the futsal field though, limiting us to train some ball control skills.
I'm a long-shot player, so futsal is not really my type of game. :\

Our Bio lecturer, Ms Chong has been absent for few days due to sickness. So basically we earn another few hours of extra break times. Today I thought she's still absent so I went to CIT lab. Just when I sat by butt on the computer chair, my friend called saying that teacher is back so I've to rush back to the lecture hall to attend the class, ahah....

Today got another 2 hours break, thanks to the easy chemistry experiment so we can leave earlier. Chen Ping(name sounds like Chin Peng, former head of Communist Party in Malaysia, a controversial person) suggested McD at Melati, not so far from college. Thanks to Kai Shang who drove us there, haha. I ordered a fillet o' fish, and only realised that being conned by McD.
First, the burger suppose to have a whole slice of cheese, but they only put half of the piece in the burger.
Second, the gov tax suppose to be 5%, which I calculated to be 37 cent, but in the bill it states 40 cent, crap. Only a mere difference of 3 cent, but you know McD is making profit of many people, not just me only!! Hmm.... I will reconsider whether wanna dine at McD again next time.

Some friends informed me that the next week's football competition, we'll be playing the first match facing the toughest team so far, having good quality players and even a state player!! A little surprise but I believe it will be an excited match! ;)
