Feizai high-jumping vid

Another vid I've found on Youtube.
Apparently this vid is recorded during sports day event. I'm a little disappointed that the school didnt introduce this high-jump during my days in the school, I like this game very much but unfortunately no chance for me to play after primary school. :(

Malaysia Shuffle - Chong Hwa 4E2 Edition

Just found this videoclip, featuring juniors from my school having some fun time shuffling at school, haha. Enjoy.

Malaysia Shuffle - Chong Hwa 4E2 Edition

Dancing locations, if not mistaken are in one of the classroom at the main block, Muslim's prayer room and the passageway infront of DK1, near male's toilet.

They dance pretty well though, especially the fat ones lol.

Nike AZT90 Laser

These boots are launched sometime in April, which I completely miss it as I'm away from this information-overload world to serve NS. I only notice this new boots when I saw Rooney's pic on the newspaper, he's wearing this boot.

So far they only launched these 2 colours, and I believe soon they'll be launching more colourways.

Kuantan Trip

So yeah I'm away for few days to join family goto Kuantan for a relaxing trip. Well actually is my father's business trip but anyhow for us it's more like a vacation. Had good food and pleasant sleep, we're satisfied.

Had 2 rounds of 肉骨茶 'ba ku teh' and 2 rounds of crabs for our meals, which are heavyweight meals. Great meals I must say.

I dunno what else I can say about this trip, well few pics should do the rest of work for me.

In the meantime, I've been settling lots of things. Today had a good game of football, and just passed my road law test today, later tonight gonna goto Ming Hong's house for his birthday party.

Fully-schedule, it's tiring and I just hope I wont be down by any sickness again.

Brazil VS China, WC02

This is a vid of an old match played during World Cup 2002, featuring Brazil VS China in group match. Brazil swept China 4-0. One of the great matches played during that time, I still remember I watch the live match at a friend's(who're origin from China) house while having dinner.
Now this is the way to differentiate how a good team play againts a weak team.

P/S: I'd like to mention this freekick by Ronaldinho when the Brazil play on England. One of the best freekick I've ever seen!

TARC Mass Call 2007

Blogging from TARC's ICT lab, hah.

Hmm.... so finally friends who're taking diploma courses come and join me in TARC. But somehow things doesnt work as what I expected as the mass call is actually a very dull and boring event. I expect we can have the chance to talk with friends again while everyone wondering in the hall, but we're divided into guys and ladies to be seated inside the hall.

We PreU students are asked to head to the college hall at 12pm, as we PreU students are having mass call with other diploma students from School of Social Science and Humanities. While the event only begins around 1pm. Lots of briefings and speeches by the school officials, it lasted until 3.15pm for us PreU students. Those diploma students would have to wait til 4.30pm only can go back, hahaha.

Seriously, about 50% of the mass call briefings I've heard all of them during our PreU briefings last week. Oh well the condition in the hall somehow makes me feel sick, not mentally but physically.

In the end when I get home I'm suffering from mild fever. I think it's caused by the bad weather and uncertain temperature condition around the college. Not to mention, inside the hall have to squeeze with thousands of students, of course have to breath in unfresh air, if you know what I mean. After taking some medications I feel better.

Somehow after coming back from NS my health condition is going downhill. They say coming back from NS should be stronger and healthier but not for me. I keep on coughing badly and sneezing while I'm been placed in cold places like the lecturer hall and the classroom which are fully air-cond.
I dunno what went wrong in my lifestyle, for now I just hope that I can get enough rest and yea hopefully I can get well soon.

2nd GP Essay

Another task given by Ms Marilyn, we're asked to search a painting from 5 famous artists and write a critical analysis on the painting, a 300 words essay.
My first attempt was rejected as too many classmates chose the same painting with mine, Salvador Dali's "Persistence of the Memory".

Persistence of Memory

Anyhow In the end I've to change the painting. Now this time I turn up to this painting called "Impressions of Africa", also painted by S. Dali. So this is the 347 words essay I've just completed.

-----------------------------

Impressions of Africa (click for larger view)

The painting I choose to write for the critical analysis is the "Impressions of Africa", painted in year 1989 by the world-renowned Spanish painter Salvador Dali.l

The first and overall impression of this paint pictured how Africans live during the 1930s. There is no indication whether Dali himself went to Africa before and inspires him to draw this paint, or this paint is just his imagination how how the African lives.

The painter did not state the exact location of the painting taken place, but it is believed to be somewhere in the middle region of Africa, as the desert terrain is distinguished by the yellow-brownish landscape colour.

The man on the left side of the paint who are concentrating drawing on the art block resembles Dali himself while the painting the paint. The right hand gesture shows the typical style of an artist will do while trying to capture an image he or she sees. Behind the painter there is a shadow figure of someone who remains anonymous.

Near the upper-left corner shows a village of the locals but somehow part of the village looks like a donkey head. This shows a strong ties between the villagers and the donkey as donkey is used for transporting goods and farming purposes during that time.

Something interesting in the painting shows that no matter how difficult the life is, there is still have room for leisure, as expressed by the person from the far-right corner who is playing a guitar.

The other figures appear on the painting shows a person who look like struggling for life, a person handling tools and another person who only visible for his right limb and legs look like ordering people to work. In this part of the paint expresses people in Africa are living in extreme conditions. They are living in poverty possible because of the exploitations by the Western Imperialists such as the British, French and Italians in Africa. The people are forced to work as labours and slaves especially in the mining sector, because the Westerners are interested of the diamond and gold mining business.

-----------------------------

I'm glad that I could finish this essay earlier as I've to pass up on Thursday. I did just like what the lecturer asked, do it yourself without any reference from the net, and that's how I interpret the painting.

Futsal at TARC

This week's weekly football game is replaced by a Friday futsal game at TARC. I'm excited because this is the 1st time the gang play on the turf and joined by other people too. We played 6-6 game, and it's actually quite fun!

My team manage to net in quite a number of goals before the opposition can do anything. Myself, scored a perfect left-foot hat-trick.

My team's 1st goal I sneak in from the center to interfere Joey's back pass to the keeper, dribbled and slot in with left foot, yeah!
My 2nd goal, a tricky left-footed flick near center that looks will go out of the line but bounce into the net because of the ball-spinning.
The hat-trick piece, another left-footed kick from the center while the keeper is being
distracted by teammates.

After all the goal actions I've decided to withdraw myself to become the keeper. Too bad the opponent, Joey manage to score for his 1st shot. Crap, this is why I complain bout the ball, either love it or hate it!

I did pay prices to play the game though. Ankle collide with another person's leg during warm-up, and the pain havent gone til now. While being the keeper, I hop into the air to grab the ball and I got my abdomen knee'd by Kam. It's been quite normal to suffer all these small injuries while having fun, but many times I've become the victim, sweat.... My last experience playing futsal at my NS camp arent that good too, being smashed the ball straight to my abdomen....

This week maybe there'll be more friends who'll join us play as the diploma courses are starting this week. Yeah! Really looking forward to play another game again!! :D

P/S: Oh well Chelsea won the FA Cup, crap. Anyhow I've to agree that Drogba's goal at the 116' minutes is great, in terms of the skills and coordination with Lampard. A smart 1-2 pass to tear off Man Utd's defense and score from the 1VS1 situation with Van Der Sar, just like how I usually did in FIFA 2005.

First Week in A Level

Sorry for not updating this blog regularly, I'm just too tired to write anything these few days. The starting of A Level can be quite exhausting although the flexible time-table. Well this is what I think about the subjects and the lecturers so far....

General Paper
This subject is just like another Eng lesson, but the standard is higher than school level. My lecturer, Ms Marilyn so far looks like a very nice person, we enjoy the introduction class where we get to know each other. One thing I noticed is that she likes to assign task for us few minutes before the class ends. So far did the GP essay I've posted earlier, and second task is we've to find paintings from famous artists and print it out in full colour. I got the feeling that she'll assign more tasks for us when the lessons really kick-start after the holiday break.

Biology
One of my favourite subject, I've determine not to slack it! So far the lecturer, Ms Chong gives me good impression bout the class, but friends who've been taught by her warn me for her downsides. I dunno what will happen next but I'll find it out myself soon. We dont really start our lesson yet as we still cant make sure is there any reschedule for the time-table, anyhow we've asked to find info bout prokaryotic & eukaryotic cell structure. I dont really know what's these so I'll probably check it on the net.

Chemistry
Another favourite subject, probably the most important subject in Science. I think I can get use to it fairly quickly as I've good basic knowledge for the subject. Mr Chau being the lecturer had been very helpful, somehow I think I can do quite good for this subject. :)

Physics
Of all three Science subjects I'll fall for this one. Somehow, I will try to catch up this subject slowly. I know this is a difficult subject but I dont want to give up so fast! I'll see how far I can go in this subject before decide what's my next move. The lecturer Ms Ong is ok, but her teaching method is just average. I cant rely solely on the lecturer so I definitely have to work hard!

Maths, Applied
This subject is one of the division of the whole Maths subject. Maths(A) focus on Statistics and Mechanics maths. Personally I like Stats but might not like Mechs part. Again, I'll wait and see, and then try to figure out how to do things the right way. I kinda like the way Mr Yap, the lecturer taught us. I'm confident that I can do quite well in this paper, hopefully.

Maths, Pure
This subject is the continuation for our SPM Add Maths. At first this subject is like a revision to +Math but there's additional topics added in. Being a student of +Maths before, I know that this is not a subject to make a fool of. Work hard and study smart is the key to do well in this subject. The lecturer, however raises my doubt whether I can make it for the paper or not. It's just like back to school where teachers teach but students dont get the point, leaving students guessing and wandering. I hope the history itself wont be repeated again on us....

Well, this is just a temporary review. This is because after the 2 weeks holiday break (26 May - 10 June) we'll be allocated into other classes, that means change of time-table and lecturers. I just hope that I can get good lecturers in my class. Now I dont mind to have friends in the same class or not, because at this moment I prefer to work alone instead of having someone else join in. Somehow, I think that myself have become more selfish than before because the competitions are strong among ourselves.

Many had begin to think about dropping subjects. For me, I wont be dropping any subjects yet, as I wanna see how tough I can go and what subject is the hardest for me. I'll only decide what to do bout the subjects by next year.

First GP Essay

Today the GP(General Paper) teacher given us our very first A Level task, that is writing a 300 words long essay with the title "What is Art?"

At first I dont really have any idea how to start the essay but anyhow I still manage to scrap out a ~550 words essay lol.

Here's the link(http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=d8gnk4n_40g8ndww) to the essay I've written. Note that this is not the best I can write, yet.

Further updates on my A Level life, I'll update it tomorrow evening, hopefully.

My A Level Schedule

Do try out this link, I'm actually trying out Google Docs & Spreadsheets to publish this schedule.

So this is my A Level Time-table, you can open up to see if you like. I make this also as a reference for myself if I've lost the original time-table.

http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=d8gnk4n_36gcdmhf

2nd Day Orientation

Start of 2nd day in college. Before going to college this morning I've manage to goto bank to settle some business.

Got my class time-table, was sorted into SN8C class, with some of my friends also sorted into the same class too. Hahah somehow for this time I no longer have to be alone with strangers.

The briefing for today is about students welfare. Missed the beginning part of the video presentation as I'm lost in the campus. After that we started our orientation activities.

The aim for this orientation activities is to let new students to familiarise themselves in the campus, especially when going from block to block one might get lost. We do really need a map to bring ourselves to a specific place. I, myself went lost in the campus today and yesterday, so it's good to know the places now.

The orientation activities are mainly games for us, with some of our seniors or our friends who took A level earlier became the ushers to guide us playing all the games. Hahah poor thing if our team lose they'll have to had their face painted as a punishment. Anyhow I do think that it's rather amusing and entertaining.

I kinda enjoy all the games, got myself eaten a wasabi bread(no feeling at all, in fact I love the taste!), had to drink a cup of lychee + salt solution, and missed a penalty kick lol. Yeah it's fun, though it can be tiring too.

Anyway, tomorrow gonna start class already. 10am class starts, quite late isnt it? Haha this is the benefit of college life, you've some time to spare and dont really need to rush to the college early in the morning. The only price you've to pay is that the class will last til 4pm. I think it shouldnt be too much problem for me to get use to this time-table.

14 May 2007

First Day at College

Spend the whole morning listen to briefings all the way! 8.15am briefing til 12.40am non-stop! Oh well I somehow still can coup with that.

I'm kinda interested to know more about those subjects, especially General Paper. I also taking the following subjects: Maths A, Chemistry, Biology & Physics.

Lunch break, met with some old friends from secondary and primary school. Yeah.... next week there's gonna be more friends coming in too!

Around 2pm headed to the library. I'm very impressed with the library's facility, a great place to study and also the hardwares they provide there. Real good stuff, and I might want to signup for their online database training stuff, which can be very useful for further studies once I can get the ID and password.

That's all about my 1st day in college life. I do feel tired today but I know days to come will be more tiring. Anyhow, tomorrow got another briefing bout student welfare and some ice-breaking games after lunch. I dunno what they gonna up to, we'll see. I will only start my class on Wednesday.

Since today still got sometime, I decided to head to Carrefour to deal with a music player I bought last week. For some reason I want refund. The player is not defective, but I dont think I need it for now so I want my money back. I have to walk there twice to settle some messes before I can get back the money.
Hmm.... next time I should be more careful when it comes to buying thing like this myself. Luckily this time I dont face any much trouble, just that it should be a reminder and warning for myself as sometimes I'm careless.

Personally I do think that these videos are applicable to be labeled as MASTERPIECE. :D

Something regarding the Layout

I've talk about changing this blog's layout in March, and for your information I'm not starting to search for a replacement for the template.

I still look for free templates at Gecko&Fly, the site where I get this current template. I admit this template can be a little dull as it only got black, gray and white colour. I plan to add in some colours into the blog soon.

So far I've shortlisted 3 possible template replacement for this blog, have a look please.

  • Binary Bonsai (Preview)

  • Andrease02 (Preview)

  • Forest Green (Preview)

Do you have any comments on these templates? If so please let me know. I plan to alter the default codes to make it suit my taste, just like what I did to this current ones(the "Rhapsody of CLF" header doesnt come with the default template codes!).

Working on this new template might take days, and I only plan to start the project during weekend or during my 1st holiday break 2 weeks later.
My previous experience dealing with the template is that I've to create lots of graphic or coding stuff offline before I upload it online. My computer is ageing, so some tasks couldnt be completed in time. I've to take my time.

'til then I'll settle with this template for sometime. It wont be too long before you saw another facelift of this blog again. ;)
  • Bracing for College Life

Tomorrow gonna start my A level studies in TARC, I doubt I'll be in the classroom for tomorrow as there'll be orientations going on.

I'm kinda excited to this advanced study institute, it's sure to be totally different than what I experience in the school. I hope I can find myself enjoying studying there and somehow my life will never be the same again.

Besides, I dont have to worry bout friends as I know many friends will be reunite again in TARC. Many secondary schoolmates are heading there, as well as some of my primary schoolmates. No matter what I'll be seeing lots of familiar faces in TARC! :D

Found my Game on the Field

I really looking forward to play this game after the last time I play with the gangs few days before leaving for NS. Today, mark the return of my legacy on the football field, heh.

Today only 7 people playing, many of the gang members are unavailable today. Anyhow we still can play a 3on3 match. The first thing I notice on the field is that one of the 2 goalpost there are torn down. I know it's rusty but I didnt expect it'll torn down like this.... oh well now we only can play on 1 side of the field. :(

It's good to be back on the field playing again, as what I promised myself I've to scored a hat-trick(3 goals) today, and yeah I did. 3 goals from right foot, not a bad result I guess, though I should try to score with left foot next time haha.

I will be looking forward for the games to come especially when some more friends are coming back from NS to join us, Tony the GK and 3T the clown. More friends playing means more fun and excitement! :D

    12 May 2007

    Congratz for My Friends....

.... who successfully got the JPA(Public Service Dept.) scholarship to continue further studies, fully sponsored by the govt!

  • First, my classmate and one of the top student in the school, Ju Shua got the offer going to USA to study Actuarial Science!
  • Second, the professor in the school, Chun Meng will be heading to New Zealand to study Engineering. Congratz to that bookworm who share the same birthday with me lol.
  • Third, Hui Fong will be going to International Medical University at Bkt Jalil to study Medical. I guess she's going to be a pharmacist or doctor when she graduate.
  • Forth, a primary schoolmate Song Ci, who scored 13 As in SPM will fly to Canada to study Engineering. Congratz again!
  • Lastly, Jia Wen(aka white ghost) are going to Australia to study Accounting. Yeah!

So far I only know these few who got the scholarship from my school, I believe there's still some of my friends out there who got the scholarship, just that I dont have their IC number to check for them lol.

Once again congratulations, may you guys do well studying overboard!

  • Update: I missed one person from the list.
Shunxing, another classmate of mine got the offer going to India to study Medicine. I heard stories of people going there study would had problem dealing with sanitation and hygiene though....

    11 May 2007

    A Walk to the Downtown

It's been quite sometime I didnt hanging out by myself, after coming back from NS I dont really have the chacne to do things by myself as I've to work. Luckily yesterday the boss allow me to pause my work for sometime til the end of this month, so I can have few days break before bracing into the college life.

First stop for today is Petaling Street. Planned to buy a Man Utd blue jersey but unfortunately it's proven to be unpopular among patrons. This is the jersey I'm hunting....

Anyhow in the end I bought a black/gold Man Utd jersey. Didnt saw this jersey worn by any player before and it looks just nice to replace the other black jersey I got. Credited RM20.

Bought another DVD movie, Mr Bean's Holiday. Crap, I think I wasted RM8 for the show I highly expecting. Dunno why this time I dont find Rowan Atkinson's acting hilarious than his previous TV episodes of Mr Bean.

Head to Popular Bookstore to get myself an mp3 earphone replacement as the original earphone comes with my MP3 player has become mono (means only 1 of the earbuds are working). RM21 for that.

I've been thinking treating myself with good food today, so I dare to spare a little luxurious budget to satisfy my tastebud. I wanted to eat Nando's at Petaling Street, but the restaurant was fully occupied. No prob, I try my luck at the KLCC Nando's. Unfortunately it's renovating so I can only see the sign but couldnt eat the chicken. :(
I end up eating fish 'n' chips at KLCC food court. RM15 for the meal, I like the fish fillet and the chips!

It's been quite a satisfying trip out there, thankfully nothing bad happened. No matter what wondering at places like Petaling Street still posses danger as there's anykind of people wondering there too, and might up to something sneaky then.

    08 May 2007

    Back To Work

3rd day I came back to KL, and I'm start working again. This time I no longer have to deal with tuition notes, now I have to key-in receipts into the database. This isnt an easy task as you've to consider how many students the tuition center have, and each of the student are taking different packages or classes. Furthermore, the database is mess up, so while I'm inputing new datas I also have to clean up the mess too. This is not as easy as I thought, but good news is I'm getting paid more to do this.

Today bought the gift, just dunno when can hand over.
Reminder to myself, the book from Penampang and RM5 stuff.
I planned to go for a reunion on this Friday, just dunno is anyone free. That evening might have football game behind my house too, hmm....

I know there's lots of friends who'll be joining me into the college life in TARC. Really looking forward for that time, as I've been quite some time didnt meet with schoolmates again! Hahah, it'll be fun!

    07 May 2007

    The Day After Coming Back

I've to admit that since yesterday coming back from Sabah, now I'm almost forget about the lifes in the camp! The days in the camp can be good and bad, although it's fun but there's prices you've to pay for it.

Today went to the place where I used to study and work to collect my wage for March and meet with the boss. Since the boss' not around so I wonder around Carrefour finding stuffs on my shopping list. To my disappointment, I bought nothing at all because those stuffs are not available. Checked the MP3 player site, Creative's mp3 players look promising. I've a plan to do with this mp3 player soon, heh.

Lunch I'd one of my favourite food, NZ Curry House' meal. As usual, few curries mix together and throw in a nice red fried chicken, yeah one of the ultimate meal for me.

Starting from tomorrow I'll be back to work, same old time, 10am to 4pm(might extend to 5pm if needed). Haha this time I got better treatment, my hourly salary will be RM5 instead of RM4, yeah! Parents said this part-time is worth it, even if I do it 1 or 2 hours a day, I still can earn some pocket money by myself.

Today brought this computer to the technician there. Then again, this com shows the sign of ageing. It's actually a very minor prob, the RAM went loose a little making the com cant boot up. I'm glad that it's OK, if not I will have hard time to survive for quite some time.

Tomorrow gonna start working, have to settle lots of mess back here. Anyhow I'll try my best to finish up the NS blog I promised.

    06 May 2007

    I'm Back!

Well finally I'm home after leaving KL for 1 month plus! But still cant enjoy as my main computer is having some unknown problem. Too lazy to fix it, tomorrow gonna send it to shop to check it.

I'll be busying to setup my NS life blog. The address I've planned to use is
    www.clfns2007.blogspot.com.

I'll be quite busy for this week, and I think I can only return back to normal blogging routine when my main com is settled. Writing things with this laptop is kinda troublesome, but yeah it's better than nothing to use at all. Got a spare is always better than having no replacement. :)

My college life will start next Monday, things will be totally different for me. Yeah yeah.....
