The Friday Life

Class changed drastically as the exam is finish. Everyone seems to be on the mood to enjoy. :)
Classmates chat, play chess, reading and doing other stuff. Other than giving us back our exam paper, we're enjoying our free time in the class.

F3 students are rested to prepare next week's PMR, gonna wish them lots of luck then, esp Carmen. ;)

Today was called up by Mdm Chek to finalize the design for School Magz Committee. After this time's discussion, we wont be having anything to do with the design anymore, phew~~ :)
Because of discussing the design matter, I missed 2 lessons. I didnt miss anything while I'm not in the class. I took back my EST paper, which I get A for it. :D

After the school is over, I head back home with my friend Shyn Jn 'coz we're going to KLCC hunt for Maksim's "A New World".
Damn it... Tower Records stil dont have the album yet.... <_<
But then, I get myself another CD, which is a local artist btw, cost me RM 40.

Joanne Yeoh - "Pulse of The Metropolis"

Since it's a local artist, must support her 'coz she's playing well and the music really suits my taste!! :D Both of us get the same album.

Later we continue shop around. Shyn Jn bought a puzzle which cost RM 170 for his girl, while I just mumbling over Adidas and Nike for bringing down their football boots display... arghh..

That's my day, tomorrow stil need to goto school for replacement holiday, sigh... It's been a long time I can wake up very late during Saturday mornings.... :(

My new Word Press blog

Once again, gonna thanks LiewCF for helping me get this blog!! :D

That WP blog is a proper blog and formal blog than this one. I'll post my thoughts on life over there, and stil keep on bloggin' here for things happen in my life, like a diary.

Feel free to comment anything bout that blog~ ;)

The exam is over, now what?

Today finished the last paper, Chem paper. Seriously, I dont have any feeling about it, just like last week's Moral paper. I'm numb with it.
I didnt revise some questions on the paper, makes me a little difficult to answer it, but luckily I paid enough attention during tuition, so I manage to recall back abit of the Chem stuff. :)

First thing I ask myself, what should I do next? I've actually planned what should I do on this weekend, but darn!! I need to go back to school this Sat to continue study!! WTF!!!
Right now, I've planned goto KLCC this Friday to get Maksim's "A New World" with a friend. Going alone is ok, but it'll be better be companied by a friend. ;)

I'm stil struggling what should I do in school? Although teachers will continue to teach, but then I guess not many of us will really concentrate in class, including myself. I need to think what should I really do.... currently I dont want to disturb Carmen as she's having her PMR very soon, so... I can say I've nothing to do at all!!

SRJK (C) Mun Yee, Class 6M/Year 2001

6M Year 2001

Well as u can see, there's lots of ppl in Chong Hwa came from this class, including me and other famous faces in school. Many of them turn pretty and handsome, but some of them had turn to the dark side....

Just to share some of my primary school nostalgia memories here. :)

P/S: I dare say that I'm the only one from there who scanned and kept this pic pretty well. XD

Background image changes

It's been some time I planned to do this, and I've do this today. ;)

Maybe the color is abit too striking, I'll change if the comments doesnt satisfy with this background.

Exam summary

Well, I've 5 more papers to go, before I can really relax and enjoy myself.

Today suppose to be holiday, but we had replacement class for last month's haze holiday. Arghh.... I had not enough time to rest at all!!! :(

Ystrdy night I study Moral until I'm numb with it alrdy. Had to memorize all those "moral values" with it's definitions. Memorize those words reminds me of my days back in primary school, when we had to memorize an essay and re-write it.

This morning at school I had no mood to entertain anyone. Toh Wai had a piece of me 'coz he taunted me. I was not in the mood and he triggers the wick. Luckily I get my emotion controlled so it wont affect my exam.

I have no feeling bout moral paper. Just scribbles on the paper while taking my time to think relevant answer for the question. I had good feeling that this time I'll do better than last time.

After moral paper, it was a big relief for me. Only one more tough paper to go, Chem on nxt Wednesday. For now.... I can enjoy a little. :)

Bio paper is one of the easiestI think, if there's no mistakes I might get A for it. ;)

Computer paper, bout HTML. Right now I know I've done mistake for 3 questions.... but anyway stil got chance get A. XD

My new phone - Nokia 1100

I cant say anything much about this, it's a free phone when my father signed up for some sort of service from Maxis. I've been struggling with old 3315, and it's good to change.

This is what my phone looks like.

Well from now one, I'll be easier to keep in touch with friends, no need share phone with my mom anymore!! :D

Examination season

I'm having this year's final exam right now. Dated from 19 ~ 28 Sept, 9 days. :S

I dunno why I dont felt like studying anything.... keep on going ease.... stil online and play as usual. :S
I know this is a bad thing, but I stil manage to do quite well in exam I think....

Ystrdy had 2 essay papers, Chinese and BM. Doesnt have any prob writting both, smooth as silk~~ :)

Today I'd Eng essay paper(my best among 3 language). Had too much ideas, just hope teacher wont take it badly for my grammer errors. (^__^")
Modern Math paper, hmm.... I'm certain that I've lost 10 marks out of 80, 'coz I dunno how to solve the trigonometry and angle stuff. :(
The rest questions hopefully doesnt have any prob. Hopefully I stil can get A2 for this paper. :)

Tomorrow I'm having History and AddMath paper. Both are killers, had to study hard. But ironically, I'm stil sitting infront of com chatting and playing... as usual. :P

Malaysians to help pick astronaut through SMS

BBC NEWS | Asia-Pacific | Malaysians to help pick astronaut

Members of the public will be able to choose the country's first astronaut from a shortlist and vote by text message(SMS), said Jamaluddin Jarjis.

What the F?!?!?!? Malaysia's first astronaut is gonna end up like Akademi Fantasia and Malaysian Idol?!?! WTF?!?!?!?!?

Oh crap, the national space agency SHOULD analyze the candidates and choose the best choice instead of using SMS to choose them.
I dunno why we must stick with the SMS-voting habit here, but the first ever Malaysian astronaut IS NEITHER ENTERTAINMENT NOR JOKE, and WE REALLY SHOULDN'T USE SMS TO PICK THE CHOICE, as if the candidates are contestants for those leisure competition.

Sigh, I really hope the national space agency will cancel this plan before it lead Malaysians to a wrong path....

P/S: Another interesting news I found related to the Malaysian astronaut news. Check it out.

Pausing from blogging for awhile

Lately I didnt came up with any post bout my recent life going on, but I posted post about Maksim's new album, "A New World".

This update of my current life is just like writting diary after days didnt touch it. If u think it's boring, well.... that's my life.

Final exam's gonna held on next week, for 14 days. Started to revise few subjects, but neglected other subjects. I'm currently focusing on history, Bio and Chem. Later I'm gonna revise Add Math, Modern Math & Phyz. Language subjects got no idea how to really study. :(

Teachers didnt came into class to teach, or they let us do our own revision. I sit on my own in class, with no one beside me. Good thing is at least I'd quiet environment studying, but then I felt lonely eventhough there's classmates around. I dont talk so much nowdays, felt like shutting myself from others.

I recently seldom talk to Carmen, after she knew that I secretly like her. Stil she was friendly to me. I just dunno what should I say to her... (~___~")
I'm planning to get our relationship further after her PMR exam.

Today I called Tower Records KLCC about the release of Maksim's new album. Well... the staff dont know when it'll be available in Tower Records yet. Sigh... I think I've to wait 'til Oct and try and ask for it again. :(

MAKSIM "A NEW WORLD" update

Aha!! Today's one of my lucky day sneaky on the net searching for Maksim's latest news!!

First place I went: MaksimMrvica.com. The site is up again after few days of mantainence. I wasnt dissapointed, the links given there is fresh, especially the e-card(it's a pop-up, disable ur pop-up in order to access the e-card.)

The e-card contains lots of cool stuff, including track samples and new music video(!) of Nostradamus. Links to dwnld the videos:

  • A NEW WORLD interview (15 MB)
  • Nostradamus MV(8.6 MB)

According to source, there's scores available in the new album. If not mistaken, it's scores of Claudine(The Piano Player), Kolibre(Variations) & Nostradamus(A New World). Piano scores usually are sold quite expensive, so grap one for free when u can!

The frenzy didnt stop there, I've found the album images available here:

  • "A NEW WORLD" images
  • "A NEW WORLD" Wallpapers
    Credit: Sara, MaksimMrvica.com

Overall, I'm really impressed with the new album. Almost all the tracks available is nice!!(I just listen the samples, not the real music yet)
Tracks like "New World Concerto" & "Nostradamus" will rock you as hard as "Flight of the Bumble Bee"(TPP), "Exodus"(TPP) & "Kolibre"(Vrtns)!!
This album also features romantic pieces like "Somewhere in Time" & "Deborah's Theme", which is the first time in Maksim's album.
Somehow, I was hooked by the piece called "Still Waters".

All of these tracks can be listen on the e-card.

The actual release date international is 12 Sept 05, which is tomorrow. I heard someone in Singapore got it alrdy, yet I doubt when I can get the CD in Malaysia. If Tower Records KLCC is doing good job this time, then I might get the CD within this week. If not, I'll probably get it after my exam, which is sometime during Oct. :(

    Arghh!! Dental appointment!!

    :(

Tomorrow need to goto the "chamber of fear" once again, sob... But good news is I can wake up late(9.30am) and skipped lots of boring classes at school. Kinda freak out when think of the dentist. :S

Hopefully, my braces can be removed by nxt year!! The sooner the better!! I cant stand torturing myself inside the chamber of fear once in months!!

Actually, it's just a mental sickness of myself bout dentist. I'd nightmare with dentist since I was a little kid... I'd to "lose" few teeth 'coz I ate too much sweets... :(

Today, I handed the final copy of Qiao to Mdm Chek to check. I'm confused Mdm Chek and the clerk who responsible to do the copying work. Mdm Chek look thru the final copy and then gave few comments.
Her comments were right, I've neglect some important points about the purpose of Qiao. It suppose to be a media that let students know more about the school admins, but my copy were mostly like a leisure magz instead of a school's buletine. She also suggest me to publish Qiao 3 times in a year, as currently we're making Qiao based on monthly concept.

Later I hand the copy to Mdm Lau, the senior asst of co-curiculum to check. She gave me terrible comments, and needed few days to check. She said she'll return the copy to me on Friday. Arghh... I guess want to print out this month's Qiao will 腹死胎中.... :(

    Maksim craze's back!!!

    * Due network error with Blogger ystrdy, I could not online Blogger and post.

Ystrdy, I surf few sites to check out the latest album of Maksim "A New World". In the end I came up with a very satisfying result.

First, I checked Kolibre.net(formerly known as MaksimMrvica.tk). Noticed they've put up Croatian Rhapsody's piano score on their site. I'm very excited, 'coz I wanna that score since last year, and finally I get it!!! :D
I asked my father help me print out the 6 pages scores so I can try it on my piano. :D

Later, I came across this Japanese site(the official Maksim Japanese site). They've put on samples of the new album. The 1st track, New World Concerto probably my fav piece of the tracks available. 2nd track, Nostradamus was ok too, sounds like "Variations"'s(2nd album, 2004) Totentanz, but spiced up by Maksim's piano skill. :D

    List of sample available:
  • Track 1, A New World
  • Track 2, Nostradamus
  • Track 6, Intermezzo
  • Track 7, Somewhere in Time/The Old Woman
  • Track 14, Chopin’s Nocturne in C sharp minor (Japan only)

Today, I surf EMI Classics' website, and hooked out this article bout the new release of the album "A New World".
MAKSIM RELEASES HIS THIRD ALBUM FOR EMI CLASSICS

    International release: September 2005

    3 36970 0 (CD - enhanced album)

Following the success of his first and second albums The Piano Player and Variations I & II, whose total sales top 500,000 worldwide, Croatian pianist Maksim Mrvica has recorded his third album for EMI Classics. Entitled A New World, Maksim’s new recording sees him reuniting with composer and producer Tonci Huljic, with whom he has been working from the start of his recording career. The pair have built up a very strong and successful relationship that has become a sales award-winning combination, creating music that speaks to audiences across the globe.

A New World features a variety of tracks transcribed for piano, ranging from the romantic melodies Somewhere in Time and Deborah’s Theme, to energetic pieces such as Nostradamus and Mojito and then to popular classical pieces including The Flower Duet, Ride of the Valkyries, Intermezzo and an arrangement of Dvorák’s ‘New World’ Symphony. All performed with Maksim’s captivating energy and delicate skill, this programme is sure to follow in the footsteps of those on his previous albums, winning followers everywhere. Working on this album with Maksim has been a team of top producers, including Abbey Road’s Jonathan Allen, who has worked with some of the classical world’s top names, including the legendary artists, pianist Martha Argerich and tenor Plácido Domingo.

Maksim’s very first album Gestures featured contemporary Croatian piano pieces and this became one of the fastest-selling recordings ever to be released in his home country, winning four Porin (Croatian Grammies), including one for Best Classical album. He went on to make his debut album The Piano Player on EMI Classics, released world-wide in June 2003, which achieved Double Platinum status in Hong Kong, Platinum in Taiwan, Singapore and Croatia and Gold status in Malaysia, Indonesia and China. His album Variations was released internationally in September last year and is quickly following suit.

In April this year Maksim made a highly acclaimed tour of Japan with The Moscow Symphony Orchestra. Critics declared his performances as those of the best pianist since Liszt. So successful was the tour, that Maksim has been invited to perform on the orchestra’s six-country Asian tour in spring 2006.

Maksim said: "I’ve been completely taken aback by how younger international audiences have responded so enthusiastically to my music. My ambition was always to bring my love of classical music to others through both live performances and recordings and does suddenly feel as if my dream is coming true."

Theo Lap, Vice-President of A&R and International Marketing at EMI Classics said: "Maksim is a dynamic and inventive musical personality. We respect the commitment and dedication he has brought to both ‘The Piano Player’ and ‘Variations’ and look forward to continued success with his forthcoming release."

Although I'm happy to know much more about the album, but I think I'll only get the album somewhere during Oct. I get my "Variations" last year Oct too.

Tun M and Rafidah Aziz's joke of the day

    * The text below is taken from today(2nd of Sept)'s TheSun newspaper.

As many knows about the AP issue battling around the government, well the 2 person most notable for this case is Tun Mahathir and Rafidah Aziz.
Rafidah hugged Tun during the National Day parade and Putrajaya, and that scene soon become every local newspaper's headlines on the next day(1st of Sept). Today, both of them had replied with each others' reaction....

Today I decided to blog this 'coz I think Tun M's dialouge is interesting and funny.

    Tun M
    Reporters: Did Rafidah apologize?
Tun M: No! No! No! She did not apologize! She hugged me. Everybody saw she hugged me, nothing happend.

    Rep: Did she say sorry?
    Tun: No.

    Rep: Why did she cry?
Tun: How do I know? You must ask her!

Rep: What did you say to her?
Tun: I didnt say much to her.

Rep: But Rafidah said you had told her "it is ok".
Tun: When people cry, you say it's ok, it's ok lah!

Rep: What was the pat on Rafidah's shoulder about?
Tun: It was just part of the ok.

Rep: Do you have any hard feelings towards her?
Tun: I have no hard feelings for anybody, not even for you(reporters).

Rep: After she hugged you, how did you feel?
Tun: After she hugged me, no more feeling lah!

Rep: Do you feel better now?
Tun: I dont know... it's not a cure. I'm having a cold now!!

LOL.... that old man is stil humourosque after he'd left his office.... salute him!! Well I'm kinda suprise the way he replied in "Ah-Bengish" style...

    48th Years After Merdeka....

Doesnt seem Malaysians improving after that, esp during modern age(90s ~ currently). Heard lots of comments bout Malaysians' going backward instead of moving foward. Sigh.... lots of sensitive & racial issue brought up, which I dont wanna talk about it 'coz I dont have cause any prob to myself.

Well, ystrdy at school's MERDEKA celebration was totally bullshit. The ceremony suppose to get on at 11.30am, but somehow it delayed 'til 12.15pm. I dunno why on Earth teachers blamed students for the delay, as teachers is the last group of ppl to besited in the activity centre. According to someone, the celebration suppose to have some students presentation going on, but the delay forced the presentation to be cancelled. Sigh... wasted.

4 person's speech(headmaster, from Agung's, from Pak Lah's, & monister of edu's) ate up 90% of the ceremony. The only show we could enjoy is songs played by school band.
I do bring my cam to school to snap few pics, but I've totally no mood 'coz really nothing so special bout this year's celebration.

Well, we're off to home after the ceremony. Stil have some time before I leave to school, check out what S1 classmates are up to this time. They're presenting a drama for the afternoon sesison celebration, heard it's success. Good for them.

Afternoon I slept for 3 hours 'coz morning I wake up at 5am coz too hot. (~__~)
Later wake up get ready as I'm going out for dinner. Well, me, sis and mom took LRT to the last station to meet with my father and then had dinner at a seafood restraunt. Buffet steamboat, sounds nice but I dont enjoy much eating, dunno why lost of appetite. :(

I slept quite late, and ended up the last person to wake up this morning, at 10.30am. :(
B'coz rushing my homeworks, so I didnt join my family visit a relative somewhere. I enjoy being alone at home doing my own stuff, world of my own!!

Evening went to a neabry "bak kut teh" restraunt to eat dinner. Mmmm.... it's very nice!! :D
Head to Jusco to shop awhile. Asked permission from parents to buy a CD, but too bad was rejected, saying it's too expensive(RM 48 like that). Oh well, I seldom buy any CDs with their money, too bad they turn down my request. :(
I hope I've no prob to get Maksim's latest album, "A New World" some other time, probably after my exam in the end of Sept....
